loltrain
If he stayed in the minors he would either: Pitch in relief and completely dominate A ball (he's already doing that) or Be shutdown for the season He's not losing any development time, and it is generally believed that he can get big league left handers out right now. Edit: Seriously, "getting alot more innings down in the minors" is about the worst thing I can imagine, we really don't need another Kenny Baugh. Rowand44
QUOTE(loltrain @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) If he stayed in the minors he would either: Pitch in relief and completely dominate A ball (he's already doing that) or Be shutdown for the season He's not losing any development time, and it is generally believed that he can get big league left handers out right now. Edit: Seriously, "getting alot more innings down in the minors" is about the worst thing I can imagine, we really don't need another Kenny Baugh. I'll just say there is a good shot that he gets knocked around right away. If that does happen then there is also a decent chance that he can get pretty effected mentally, thus setting back his development back a few years. I'm not saying that's going to happen but there is definitely a chance.
The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(JackTalkThai @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) Leyland actually seems pretty supportive of the move. Thanks for the clarification. It still surprises me. I thought Miller was impressive in the college world series but not impressive enough to suggest that he's ready to step out of that into the fire of a major league pennant race. Then again, everything Leyland does seems to work this year. If he jumped into a pile of s*** he'd come out with a golden turd in his mouth. So Miller will probably dominate. The Ginger Kid
2-0 yankees it's amazing how ineffective a-rod has become. I still think he's the best player in the league.
Balta1701
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 11:39 AM) 2-0 yankees it's amazing how ineffective a-rod has become. I still think he's the best player in the league. Right now, he's not even the best 3rd baseman in the league. If nothing else, he's been outclassed in every aspect of the game this season by Joe Crede.

Yankees have really let gumboy off the hook today.

Balta1701
Andrew Miller sees his first action. Comes in during the 9th, retires Cabrera, Hits Wilson, retires Damon and Jeter. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 12:24 PM) NY letting detroit stick around. Bad idea. Torre's an idiot. As long as he uses Rivera in the 9th, he's a genius. maggsmaggs
Miller is the sh**, amazing stuff and I fear for the next few years seeing him Bonderman, Verlander, Zumaya, Humberto Sanchez all with the Tigers in the near future.

Bonderman38
Just kept pounding the ball into the ground.. To the guy who asked why DMeat was third- He plays against righties, and Pudge is dropped down because Dmitri is more of a power threat than him. It has been like this for a couple weeks now. Wang is a different pitcher in the Bronx than he is on the road. Unfortunately Robertson looked good (although he did escape some jams). I was hoping that he would continue to stumble.
