The good news is that if he was a rookie in 2003, he's tied up by arbitration for at least a couple more years.

He only has Service Time of 2.104, so he has some arb years left (about the same as Cotts).

Anyone who's pissed about trading prospects ... can someone name the last one we got burned with trading? There's no Liriano's or Bagwell's in Kenny's past.

I'll paraphrase Allen Iverson here:

"Prospects. We're talking about prospects here. Prospects. Prospects, man. Prospects. Prospects. We're talking about prospects here."

We ain't talkin' bout major leagues. We talkin bout Prospects. Pros-pects.

i just realized that i have Macdogal in my fantasy league. So much for that and his saves. damn Sox.

The guy I play in my head to head league this week just picked him up last week. Guess it makes thing even since I have Turnbow.

MacD gets so much love from journalists, and I've just never understood why. I mentioned it somewhere else, but he seems to be the AJ Burnett of relievers. All the awe, not much of the production.

But you do get the injuries. I gotta give him that.

We'll see, though. If his talent is close to his billing, it'll be a fine trade.

I'm all for winning, but come on, I'd like to have some sort of future.

I don't think I'll ever understand why people here spiff a brick when a "good" prospect is traded. If I had a dollar for all the SURE prospects that came into town and did absolutely nothing, I wouldn't need a job.

Prospects are nothing more than prospects until they do something.

Got this from a Tigers board:

[MacDougal's] 3 year numbers vs DET:

18.2IP, 8/8 in Saves + 2 wins, 1.53 ERA, 3 ER, .226 BA

The ERA drops to 1.30 if you add in the 2 scoreless innings and the 1 save from this season as well.
