Jon Garland...it's time.

Some of us will remember a particular strikeout of yours' that defined 2005 for you in our minds. We will also remember who you K'd. And we want to see it again. You're better than everyone on this team. Don't forget it. You may not get to tip your hat, but if you earn it, this household's ready to give you another standing O.

Kick some ass big man. Sink these bastards!!!!!

JG's up against Jim Johnson who was promoted from AA ball with a 9-5, 4.13 ERA. Needless to say if the Sox don't score quite a few runs and don't win this ballgame, I'll be very, very annoyed.

Any word if PK is playing?

Probably not. You know Ozzie's rule: You get taken out of the previous game, no start the next one.

I could be wrong, though.

Anyway, if there's any SP on the Sox that I have the most confidence in right now, it's Garland.

Time for a nice streak to start.

Who is starting for the O's?

Some double a noob.

Johnson, 23, will be called up Saturday to make his first career start. With Double-A Bowie this season, he is 9-5 with a 4.13 ERA in 21 games. The Orioles drafted Johnson in the fifth round of the 2001 First-Year Player Draft.

If we can't rock him, we don't deserve to win...unless we mount an impressive rally in the ninth!

Ya its Johnson...my local paper said the same thing. I actually played against him in high school, our team hit him pretty well actually that game. Just kinda interesting to see him starting in the majors now.

Remember when everyone was crying everytime John took the mound? There was so much talk around here about getting him traded, now look at him. And now it's Freddy and Javy getting thrown under the bus. Everyone will do fine. When we make the playoffs, everyone will step up again and kill.

That said, a win today would be very nice and confidence boosting.

I'm gonna start the "daily interview from under the bus" thread. Guaranteed to have a different guest daily.

anybody else worry about facing a rookie making his debut? they always tend to do well against us...

I'm not that worried but it reminds me of last yr against E. Santana. But this kid had a 4 ERA in AA. That doesn't seem very good for AA. Lets Rip-Em!

Ahha! I am freshly renewed of White Sox apparel. I have a new White Sox watch, a White Sox wallet, and the World Series Edition Monopoly, as well as some mugs for my dorm room. This shall bring us luck! LETS GO SOX!
