southsideirish71
QUOTE(PlunketChris @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) Looking like he should be, he doesn't fit this role, he's a starter with a lot of value, and we have 5 consistantly available starters. BMac hasn't done anything huge worth noting for us in this role. I understand the idea of holding onto him for the future, but I think we've seen that this team wants/needs to win right now. We have 5 expensive starters with 1 of them coming off the books after next year. But if you want to see the next Felix Diaz come up, please be my guest lets deal him. WHO THE fish CALLS A 3-2 CHANGE.
fathom
Time to pull McCarthy. He's been given the chance to work out of his jam, and he hasn't been able to.

Reddy
QUOTE(JimH @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Well he's a reliever, he better get used to coming into bad situations. He's the long man. But I feel he is miscast in that role. He belongs in AAA, starting. but its annoying when EVERY TIME a reliever comes in it's in a bad situation
Guest JimH
Three cheers for Brandon McCarthy this inning eh? Two walks. This is why they are looking for another pitcher. I don't blame this all on McCarthy, not at all, they need a guy who can eat innings and they will especially need one here down the stretch. The Ginger Kid
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 04:01 PM) Yes, he should have never allowed Garland to start this inning. I don't know anyone who thought Garland should have started this inning. now that I 100% agree with

Stop defending BMAC. He f***ed the team up today!
southsideirish71
A few feet from disaster. Get McDougal up for the next inning. Then Thornton and then Jenks. Bmac messed up, and if he is out there in the next inning then Ozzie needs a brain transplant.

SadChiSoxFanOptimist
QUOTE(fathom @ Jul 29, 2006 -> 06:03 PM) Time to pull McCarthy. He's been given the chance to work out of his jam, and he hasn't been able to. With our starters pitching so short, don't be surprised if Kennybrings in a Scott Linebrink-type to bridge the gaps.
