Maybe Cotts and McCarthy should start pitching better.

jim stop being all sunshine and roses over ozzie.

neal is NOT PITCHING WELL.

Dont bring him in in a MUST WIN game like today... especially with the way they've been hitting in the last few innings.

that combined w/ his great skill dealing with Jon and BMAC makes it pretty obvious that ozzie doesnt know what the hell he's doing with this pitching staff.

It'd be different if this was a one time thing, but its ALWAYS

If Neal or BMac, two key components of our bullpen cannot pitch today (BMac with a 7 run lead and Cotts with a 3 run lead) then when can they pitch?

Of course they should. Like you said, Cotts has been really bad recently. He's fallen in love against with his high fastball, and when your velocity is down a few mph, it's a lot more hittable.

Cotts lose velocity, too?

Has every single one of our pitchers from last year lost a few mph?

A) like many have said, Bmac is not a reliever, he doesnt fit the role. if bmac comes in with no one on, no one out to start the inning, i bet it would have been a much nicer inning. would you agree?

B) Neal just hasnt had it lately, give someone else a chance. let him pitch against the royals, they're coming up next ya know?

It happens when you have a very long run in the playoffs, and you have a core group of guys who pitched a lot during the season.

They did not go up and under Gibbon's hands once in that at bat. I do not understand that pitch calling.
