our team needs mojo...

a win is a win.... especially in this heat im sure they just want to get this game over with. You will get all the mojo you need if you sweep a team and than go on the face the Royals.

Exactly, it's all about wins, nothing else.

well, yes, technically you're right... but um, usually when a team crushes an opponent after a long slump, it helps them break out of it. when you barely... squeak by, it doesnt help keep you hot...

There is something new wrong with this team in every game. If it's not the hitting, it's the pitching. If it's not the pitching, it's the fundamentals, or the defense, or the managing, or the situational hitting. There's just something in every game, and they never all click at once.

And it makes you wonder if it's just not meant to be this season.

wild card lead if thorton(hopefully) and jenks come through. That would be a nice confidence builder also

Right.

They will have to grind this out. That's what it will take. If the White Sox get it together, start winning, and get on a roll, they can get into the playoffs. It really all depends on these players. And frankly, we have not seen a good display by many of them today. Not to be overly critical but it's time for some of these guys to show up more consistently.

There are lots of little things going wrong. Witness that MacDougal pitch that let in a run. Yes, a tough pitch to handle. However would it have been too much to ask for Pierzynski to get his glove in the right spot and not try to backhand it? Just one example from today, there are many others.

Agree 100% there. Sure it wouldn't have been easy by any means, but he gave it a bullspiff effort.

AJP 5-5 now

Well I certainly can't criticize Pierzynski's hitting today. 5-5.

And here comes LaTroy.

Yeah, AJP has looked great at the plate, spreading the ball out all over the field. This would be a huge 2 out hit for the Sox. Sadly, Crede looks like he has no chance right now.
