Birmingham wins 4-1. Broadway pitches a gem, scattering seven hits and 0 walks with 7 K in 7 innings. Nanita with a 13 game hit streak. Suddenly looking like a fringe prospect again. Munoz and Wasserman solid in relief. Mark Quinn gets 2 hits, claiming he once played Major League Baseball.

Good outing for Richard, he's been very rocky. Long with 5 more runs in an inning of relief. He just can't get pro hitters out, hopefully it's a dead arm period and not just another wasted college relief pick.

Carter with HR 11 making up for the error.

QUOTE(Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2006 -> 11:02 PM)
I'd like to see Broadway in AAA.....

I would love to see that but hes at least 2 yrs away from the majors so i'd like him to keep his confidence up in Bham for the rest of the season. But i'm positive he will be in AAA next year.

Broadway almost has that K/BB ratio up to 3-to-1. That's encouraging. He's still not a leaguewide top pitching prospect, but I think there's a good chance that (so long as he finishes the season strong) he's the Sox #1 prospect after this season.

I am pretty sure Fields will be #1 unless he tanks the rest of the season, but Lance certainly should be next.
