Felix
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 10:29 AM) My uneducated lineup prediction is, as follows: Pods 7 Iguchi 4 AJP 2 Dye 0 Crede 5 Gload 3 Uribe 6 Mackowiak 9 Anderson 8 Took me awhile to figure out what the numbers were supposed to be Interesting thought though.. that outfield defense wouldn't be too bad, and I like Dye at DH. Balta1701
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 07:29 AM) My uneducated lineup prediction is, as follows: Pods 7 Iguchi 4 AJP 2 Dye 0 Crede 5 Gload 3 Uribe 6 Mackowiak 9 Anderson 8 Anderson will for some reason be sitting tonight, and Mack will be in CF. Dont' ask me how it's going to happen, it's just going to happen.
Milkman delivers
Wow, the Royals' starter has a lower ERA than our starter. How often does that happen?

Gregory Pratt
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 11:18 AM) Wow, the Royals' starter has a lower ERA than our starter. How often does that happen? About as often that a prime-years-of-his-career-former-league-leader-in-ERA pitcher suddenly loses his fastball. The Ginger Kid
Hudson has 4 quality starts in a row. This one will not be a cake walk (are they ever anymore?). Add to this that we'll see Halladay on Friday, let's hope we're not about to hit another "bump" in the road...

Hudson has been pretty good lately. You want to jump him early in the count because he throws strikes and doesn't have overly impressive stuff, and he does still have an ERA of a hair over 5 and a half at home this year. When Thome gets back, I expect him to go on one of his homer tears. I just hope he gets back soon and that nothing lingers.

winninguglyin83
any official word on Paulie? With an off day tomorrow, I expect him to rest. But Hudson being a right-hander, I'm hopeful Thome can DH. We definitely need to break the pattern of winning the first two games and then not finishing off the sweep. Especially with the Twinkies already taking an L.

Heads22
It'd be really nice if we could win, Boston, Detroit. and New York could lose. We'd have a 3 game lead on Minny, 1 game lead on NY/BOS and 6.5 back of Detroit. Here's how our rotation sets up for the next few series @KC: Garcia @TOR: Garland, Vaz, Count LA: Buehrle NYY: Garcia, Garland, Vaz DET: Count, Buehrle, Garcia That NYY series is scaring me. BigSqwert
QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 04:53 PM) That NYY series is scaring me. Why? Our ace Jon Garland will be pitching. BTW Soriano just hit his 2nd HR today. He would have looked very nice in LF for us. Oh well. Edited August 2, 2006 by BigSqwert

Kalapse
It REALLY looks like this team will be without Thome and Konerko for the finale. This game should be pretty damn interesting.
