TitoMB345
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:30 PM) No, he was 0-4 with 4 strikeouts. Oh double awesome!
fathom
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 02:30 AM) And that should be game. The ball that bounces in, is not the one you swing at Joe. Nice job by the O and D and Ozzie tonight. Another game dropped to a crappy Royals team. And the Red Sox and Yankees keep winning. Why can't they play each other 15 times the rest of the year? Guest JimH
Those 2 runs we gave up in the 7th really hurt us. Let me analyze this statement. Ya think???
southsideirish71
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:31 PM) But Garcia had a chance for the win, and that's all that really matters, no? Ozzie loves giving his starters the opportunity to win the game. One day he might try and get the team the win.
TitoMB345
Wait, why did Kane get his theme song put on two WWF theme CDs? Three and Five? Seems completely wasteful, considering it didn't even change at all.
Milkman delivers
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) And the Red Sox and Yankees keep winning. Why can't they play each other 15 times the rest of the year? That Abreu move doesn't scare me in the least. 6th best OBP in baseball? That's weak and will never help them. South Side Fireworks Man
Nice series win. We took two out of three at Baltimore, now two out of three against KC. That's two series wins in a row. If we just keep winning series, blah blah blah.....

santo=dorf
KC fans suck. "We want donuts?" I bet a Royals fan is more satisfied with losing and getting 13 hits in a game than winning a game.
fathom
QUOTE(JimH @ Aug 3, 2006 -> 02:32 AM) Let me analyze this statement. Ya think??? It's just frustrating because against a team like KC, if you can keep it to a one or two run game late, you have an excellent chance at coming back and tying/winning. That inning reminded me of the Vazquez terrible 7th inning at Tampa earlier in the year.
SoxFan562004
that's completely unacceptable, not only is he not a good hitter, but with the rain a comin' you can't walk that guy, let him put it in play
CWSOX45
Ozzie blew this game, I'm sick and tired of watching him leave our guys in there. I've said it before and I'll say it again, as a manager you're supposed to know what your players are capable of doing and are not capable of doing. Last year, yeah he could have left Freddy in there, this year it is foolish to even consider it. Here we are August 2nd, and he has yet to figure it out. Unreal. Wake up Ozzie, or we won't be playing in the post-season.
Frankensteiner
I'm so glad Kenny made sure to have Garcia and Vazquez starting 2 out of every 5 days. Just a matter of time before these guys turn it on!

Guest JimH
Bad execution by Brandon McCarthy there, walking a .200 hitter. Pierzynski bails him out by throwing out the runner.

Milkman delivers
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) Take away the green and thats a very true statement. Well, we're supposed to be one of the best teams in baseball. If we want to go to the postseason, then we'll have to beat up on the bad teams. This will be, what, our 5th loss to KC this year? We're trying to keep up with the likes of the Yankees and Red Sox. This spiffty play against bad teams (especially when we lose to the good teams) won't work. TitoMB345
Wait, will Low-Jac still make the donation even if the game is called and goes back to 7 1/2 innings? Ugh, maybe Im confused. Will it end at bottom of the 7th with 1 out? Or middle 7? I need to read the rulebook.
