Dick Allen
Obviously, Hawk doesn't think much of Freddy. He usually never gives a player a little jab like that. QUOTE(WHarris1 @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Seriously what the hell has given Pods this right to lazily run to 1st? He probably read Soxtalk in 2005 and believed everything he read. I can't recall a single infield hit for Pods this season. Gload has about 4 in the last month. 85 mph fastball by Garcia ripped up the middle. Milkman delivers
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 07:48 PM) Maybe if our players would communicate on the field, they might have been able to have a chance to get him out. I'm talking about on Shealy's single to Gload. It looked to me that Freddy showed up Gload right after it, but Ross was facing the other way anyway. southsideirish71
Freddy rushed an 85 mph fastball that is quickly deposited into center field. If he cant throw hard until he gets some pitching underneath him, have him throw 2 simulated innings first, then have Joey kick him in the nuts to get him upset, then he can pitch mad and with his 90mph fastball. Speaking of the biker stuff, I went to one Smackdown! filmed at the All-state Arena one time a few years back, and it was like the Undertaker's first appearance in a while, and he rode out on his bike. I was pretty excited.

Ya, if he keeps locating we'll need Freddy to limit the Royals and for the Sox to scrap out any sort of run(s) they can get. That or just hope they can get Hudson out early due to the pitch count and get to the Royals pen.

Milkman delivers
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Aug 2, 2006 -> 07:50 PM) Well in general Gload is a very good base runner and a pretty heads up player. He's so consistent that i have no doubt that he could hit .300 or near .300 as an everyday player. He lacks pop but I also think he could hit 15 Hr's. Problem is he's always stuck on the wrong teams (behind so many good 1st baseman whether it was in Colorado, the Northside or here). The one flaw I'd have with Mack is I don't think he does a good enough job working the count. But Mack would be a major upgrade defensively and like Gload, Mack is an above average baserunner who does the little things. Mackowiak's defense, arm, average, power, and OBP are all much better than Pods'. Mackowiak won't steal as many bases, but he will steal them intelligently. His caught stealing won't be near as many as Pods. Mackowiak is a better base runner...and he hustles more.
