whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(Nokona @ Oct 2, 2006 -> 11:54 PM) Wait...Iowa blows? Did we play terrible the last 7 minutes of the game? Yes. However don't forget before Chandler's fumble we had plenty of time and we're driving... Don't forget we scored more points than Texas and PSU combined. Don't forget that Ted Ginn Jr was shut down. If it wasn't for our lack of depth at corner and the fact that Miguel Merrick wasn't starting at SS (you know where they ran the ball at our true freshman starting his first game in the biggest sporting event in Iowahistory) things could have been very different. 38-17 does not dictate the reality of this game. All good points, however the only reason this game was ever close was the home field advantage Iowa had. If this game is even on a neutral field, it's never a contest, Ohio State was better at every position on the field except TE and K.

You are right, OSU was much more dominant than 38-17. Drew Tate imploded and frankly the defense wasnt getting much done against the run or the pass. Troy Smith added yet another heisman type game and you think it was closer than that? Man, Gonzo even put up a couple of highlight reel plays, including one that will be shown over and over and over in college football highlights. Is that not all part of the game? Iowa is not a good team. You and I both know this. They were very lucky to of beaten Cuse. They play a weak schedule and it shows when they play good teams. They will get smoked by Michigan.

Heads22
Just 32 hours til the epic primetime matchup of Nebraska and Iowa State. They're expecting 57,000, which is pretty good for a stadium that seats 45,000.

Heads22
You'd think so. It should be the same environment as last years Iowa-ISU game, which is the loudest I've ever heard that stadium. A few tornados in the area would really spice up the atmosphere too.

THEWOOD
MSU is nowhere close to "good". They are a bad team with a piss poor coach.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 11:02 AM) Albert Young just got Wally Pip'd. 256 rushing yards early in the 4th quarter. Damn Simms had some nice runs against the Buckeyes and more so far today. Tate is looking a lot better, but than again Purdue is not a good team (despite a 4-1 record). However, you got to like the all around offensive domination put on by the Hawkeyes thus far. ND gets a TD on the opening drive, not that I expect this to be a game. Auburn down a decent chunk to Arkansas. Maybe the most over-rated team in the country will lose and drop out of the #2 spot.
Soxbadger
Prior to the start of the season I said Auburn was over rated. Now Tubberville can stop worrying about how hard it is to be in the SEC.

Thank god Zook can recruit because outside of John L. Smith he is the worst in game coach in the conference. Going for 2 twice in the first half? Seriously what the hell is that. And then rushing 3, with 2 minutes left and IU only needing a FG. Terrible.

Terrible. as I understand it, the 2 point conversion call is not zook's in the swinging door play, it is one of the players that makes the decision if he sees an easy score, apparently he was mistaken. But there is plenty of blame to go around for zook today. Taking the ball completely otu of juice's hands in the 2nd half and running the ball consistently, while getting no first downs. Brutal game, absolutely brutal. QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 03:57 PM) So this is what I know: SIU beat IU by 7 who beat Illinois who beat MSU who only lost to ND by 3.
