Palehosefan
Dan, great job by your Missou guys tonight. Made Graham Harrell look silly. 5 turnovers by our QB, not going to ever get it done. Missou should win the North with any amount of small breaks.
danman31
QUOTE(Palehosefan @ Oct 7, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) Dan, great job by your Missou guys tonight. Made Graham Harrell look silly. 5 turnovers by our QB, not going to ever get it done. Missou should win the North with any amount of small breaks. Yeah they looked very good. The running game did well, Tech had trouble tackling. The passing game wasn't a huge factor though. The defense makes big plays happen, plain and simple. Tech ran them over for a couple quarters, but made enough crucial mistakes that it wasn't close to enough. The Tigers will probably have to win one of the OU (in Columbia)/Neb (in Lincoln) games to win the North I think. 6-2 in conference almost seems likely even with those two losses, but Nebraska might also go 6-2. It will be a good race though and I can't believe this Mizzou team is this good.
Heads22
I'm off the Dan McCarney bandwagon and am deciding whether to put down stop sticks.
whitesoxfan101
Pretty clear after today that the worst coaches in the country are, in order: 1. John L. Smith 2. Dan McCarney 3. Ron Zook (lost the game today by himself)
IlliniKrush
Heads, i still want to trade football programs
Palehosefan
1. John L. Smith 2. Dan McCarney 3. Ron Zook (lost the game today by himself) Can't have this list without the man who is 25-40 at his school, whiling having 15 NFL players on his roster over that 6 year span, still managing to attain a defense that has given up over 400 yards a game during his tenure. Mr. John Bunting has singlehandedly torn apart the UNC football program, yet is still safe with his job until the end of the season. Why? Because basketball is starting soon. Which is even sadder for me because somehow, someway I have actually grown to love UNC football a little more than even basketball.

Heads22
In the Iowa State game? A botched fake field goal, two ISU touchdowns called back, and Todd Blythe being thrown the ball.... Can someone remind me how you win games by not throwing to one of the conferences top recievers in the first half? If Todd Blythe was a Longhorn, you'd all know his name. Rowand44
I love that Wolfe has a prime time game on espn right now.
IlliniKrush
I wish we could see what Wolfe could do against SEC, Big Ten, etc defenses on a weekly basis over his career. Yes, i know they played OSU this year and he had a nice game. I just don't think he has a chance to win the Heisman playing in the MAC, whether that's right or wrong. whitesoxfan101
Offensive line sabotaged Wolfe last night, hence the subpar game. He'll go to New York, but he'd never actually win the Heisman. We were lucky to get a win.
