Rex Hudler
QUOTE(Chisoxfn @ Oct 16, 2006 -> 03:20 PM) I still can't get over that Iowa game. Wow, I knew we weren't as good as some experts said we'd be, but I didn't think we'd lose to IU. Eric Gordon's affect on IU has no end. Hell the golf team will probably win the national title now. Maybe the baseball team will actually become good. Edited October 17, 2006 by Rex Hudler

Palehosefan
So is everyone geeked for the ESPN national television appearance of UNC-UVA on Thursday night? What a matchup, . Which brings a serious question to the board. Is it ever ok to cheer against your team? Because I am borderline on doing that, just to get Bunting out sooner. The quicker he is out, the better the program will be in the long run, his miraculous win against Miami in 04 saved his job and led to more misery ever since with false hope abound. Butch Davis, Gene Chizik(Texas' DC), and Jimbo Fischer(LSU OC) are thought to be the main choices to replace Bunting. All of which are much better choices, and have expressed interest in the job. It most definitely is. If you are rooting against them in order for the betterment of the franchise in the long run, then it is perfectly ok. In a given year if the bears are 3-10, you might as well root against them the final three games, because a higher draft pick will be better for the franchise than 3 more wins could do. By rooting against them in a particular game or games, you are rooting for the franchise as a whole in the future. I actually did this with the Blackhawks at the end of this year, hoping to get as high a pick as possible. Because at that point, what would 5 more wins do for the franchise and the fans? Absolutely nothing.

Soxbadger
I hate to be the bearer of bad news but... According to a poster on Wisconsin's Rivals site, there is a rumor that Michigan RB Hart is out with a broken foot. The poster in question has been very reliable in my opinion, and because Michigan and Wisconsin already played it would be strange for him to just bring up a rumor like this if there were no legs to it. If this is true it sucks for Michigan, because I think they have an amazing defense and they really need Hart on offense. greasywheels121
After the starting kicker for Texas missed 3 previous tries in the game (PATs and FGs), the walk-on Ryan Bailey kicks a 22 yarder to put Texas back on top 22-20. Chisoxfn
Hart is playing and Tate is taking shots left and right, but we got Young, King and a few other guys back which is nice. 3-0 Michigan in the 2nd quarter.

Rex Hudler
I didn't see the game. Can somebody give me a general recap? I know the final score and that Hart had a big 2nd half, but that's about it.
Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Rex Hudler @ Oct 21, 2006 -> 04:27 PM) I didn't see the game. Can somebody give me a general recap? I know the final score and that Hart had a big 2nd half, but that's about it. IT was a very close game the whole way. Iowa and Michigan failed to do much anything on offense and Iowa missed a couple potential TD's but at the same time Michigan had a couple shots in the red zone that they failed at as well. Good defense although I missed the final few minutes. Hart was the reason you guys won, he dominated the 2nd half after getting destroyed in the 1st half. Both defenses played pretty darn well and were getting to the QB's. Breston had a tremendous return after Iowa had tied things up which may have been the difference maker in the game.
