PA32R
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) How come you use the team name for the Yankees and Sox, but city (or state ) name for Detroit, Boston and Minnesota? Man.. that seems fairly obvious to me... but then I'm new here.
Felix
QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 12:21 AM) My guess, they only have one team in the city. But since he was talking about the AL, it doesn't matter I don't know why I pointed it out, just sort of... stood out to me.
fathom
QUOTE(S720 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 04:21 AM) Fathom, would you stop being so fishing pessimistic! Have you looked at this board in the last month? I'm far from being the most pessimistic person. If you don't like my posts, then either add a baseball observation, or just don't respond at all. Friend of Nordhagen
QUOTE(Felix @ Aug 10, 2006 -> 11:20 PM) How come you use the team name for the Yankees and Sox, but city (or state ) name for Detroit, Boston and Minnesota? Funny you should mention that. As I was typing, I got to "New York" -- Yankees just sounded more accepted -- and ominous. As does White Sox. White Sox is very ominous. Ominous, indeed. Be afraid, American League. Be afraid of our mighty mightiness.
fathom
QUOTE(GoRowand33 @ Aug 11, 2006 -> 04:20 AM) I hope AJ's smart enough to know that He got the 97 mph fastball in, and since Jeter was looking to go to right field, he was able to get him on the hands. Harry Chappas
You know what's funny, the Twins were shut out by Ted Lilly, Boston was swept in KC and we are going toe to toe with the hottest team in baseball right now. For some reason the results of this game are meaningless to me. Javier showed some balls as did McCarthy. We are best team in the wild card race.
