ceffa2000
Congrats Jose on a fine dandy of an outing. It was nice to finally give our bullpen a night to sit back and relax. See that Mark? Get the competitive juices flowing and pitch better than Jose!
SoxFanForever
QUOTE(Bonderman38 @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 03:11 AM) Well, around Detroit Zoolander means Verlander+Zumaya. Sorry. Glad we aren't around Detroit then.

GoSox05
Did you see Verlander hand Jim Thome a pink slip at the end of the game? Yeah cause Thome owns him.
whitesoxfan101
Verlander against us this year: 13.2 IP, 16 R, 27 H, 0-3 He's 14-2 against everybody else, but damn we own him. And his stuff didn't look as crisp tonight, especially as the game went on. I'm concerned about him in terms of September and October if I'm a Tigers fan. Frankensteiner
This is probably our best all around game of the season. If we get any consistency from our starters, this team can be really good again.

witesoxfan
Note to Jim Leyland: next time you skip Verlander's start, make sure it's one against the Sox FOOKING NOICE
Bonderman38
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 12:15 AM) Thank you Verlander for making your track record known against good hitting teams.. Verlander hasn't pitched too many games against them, but he has actually had some gems against good hitting teams. There was one game to the Yanks, and one to you guys he wasn't too good. The rest he was awesome.
Jordan4life_2007
So this is how we look when we pitch, defend and get timely hits? I like it. Now let's do this more often. Jose was flat brilliant. It was around this time last year that he went on his second-half tear. I think he's primed to go on another one. Dam8610
Nothing better than Tiger OWNAGE. Especially when the OWNAGE comes at the hands of their prodigy. Hopefully Rogers will continue his trend of horrible 2nd half pitching tommorrow. That'd put the White Sox in very good shape to make up serious ground in this series. QUOTE(Harry&JimmyRocked @ Aug 12, 2006 -> 02:04 AM) i heard him say on the radio today that he's not intimidated by us He doesn't need to be intimidated, as long as he keeps giving up that 10+ ERA.
