Root for Boston or Detroit?

right now we're 6.5 games behind Detroit and 2 ahead of Boston the in WC

Don't get me wrong, I'd love to win the division, but does anyone think our chance of the WC over a Boston team that we're already ahead of and has both a questionable pitching staff and hitting outside of 3-4 much better than gaining and keeping the lead and the central.

Right now, Boston losing three to Detroit and us winning 4 against KC puts us 5.5 ahead of them!! Whereas three Detroit losses and 4 wins by us, still has us at best 2 games behind Detroit, assuming we even win today.

Might be defeatest thinking, but time is short.....

Like it's been said, root for the Sox...if they don't win, it doesn't matter wtf Boston or Detroit do.

That said, I agree with fathom in hoping for a sweep. I'd prefer it be Boston, but either way, a sweep either gives you two close races, or a pretty sizeable lead(unless of course Minnesota sweeps whoever the hell they're playing) along with another overcomeable deficit.

I know one thing...I'd rather be going head to head for the division than the wild card, cause we may have that as a fall back plan.

Not to mention we have a bit more control over the division (since we still have a few more games vs the Tigers) than we would in the wild card race.
