SoxFanForever
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 16, 2006 -> 02:36 AM) Cy Hudson is warmin in the pen. The very same Luke Hudson who gave up an 11 spot or so to Cleveland in one inning last week?

Lets hope it's that Hudson, and not the one who limited us to like 3 hits thru 6 innings a few weeks ago. I have a feeling they'll let Burgos try to close this one out. Felix
QUOTE(SoxFanForever @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 10:37 PM) The very same Luke Hudson who gave up an 11 spot or so to Cleveland in one inning last week? It wasn't an inning, it was a third of an inning He was actually pretty good though in most of his starts before that one.
southsideirish71
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 09:38 PM) Lets hope it's that Hudson, and not the one who limited us to like 3 hits thru 6 innings a few weeks ago. I have a feeling they'll let Burgos try to close this one out. If we take pitches, work the count, and hit line drives we will win this game. If we go into the next inning, swing for the fences on the first pitch. It will be a 5 pitch inning, with 3 lazy flyouts.
kwolf68
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 15, 2006 -> 10:36 PM) Cotts in to give us no chance. He's clearly the worst pitcher on our roster right now, followed by Garcia and Vazquez. Garcia is nowhere near as crappy as Vazquez....Garcia has no fastball left, but still manages to battle and win...Vazquez, with what we all agree is pretty good stuff, gets blown away by a glorified AAA team tonight. How many WINS has Javy followed up with LOSSES this year? During our miserable 3-9 start in the 2nd half (or whatever it was), Javy followed up AT LEAST two Garland gems with meltdowns. We should deal him as soon as possible...for any damn thing we can get. He stinks and he stinks bad.
iguchi=dank
Never know whats gonna happen in the 9th, but this is just an ugly game. Everybody had a bad game, hitters, pitcher, and coaches and when all 3 have bad games you aren't even going to beat KC. I'm just giong to assume we win the next 2 and things aren't going to be so bad on thursday night as they seem right now, otherwise your going to be to frustrated to live a peacful day till tomorrows game. So hopefully some of us fans can just let this one go and only be really pissed if we screw up tomorrow. Just let it go.

We haven't had one of these where everyone is just terrible since the long losing streak so hopefully we'll bounce back tomorrow and tonight will just be one of those ugly blips. If we could somehow come back in the 9th, that would be a huge lift.

whitesoxfan101
Alright Cotts, nice inning (for once). Either we rally or tonight takes the throne for worst game we've played this season. We haven't executed a single play properly all night (and no, the Pods sac fly doesn't count....it was on a 3-1 pitch and a walk would have loaded the bases for Iguchi with us down 2). Nice Job Cotts on covering first. no doubt, and I'm not trying to sound like a hawkeroo, but s*** happens and today if we don't pull another 9th inning miracle is a s*** ass perfermance. But every team except the tigers pull these lately. Case in point boston
kwolf68
What a great sign. Cotts actually wasn't hit hard that inning...Cotts pitched a SCORELESS inning of relief. Neal Cotts did not set the entire MidWest on FIRE and the is playing and its time to jack these turkeys up.
