southsider2k5
Is this to cover an injury or a true promotion?
whitesoxfan101
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Is this to cover an injury or a true promotion? That's a good question, but hopefully he gets it done at AAA and continues to look damn good like he has at every other level.

WhiteSoxfan1986
He's no blue chipper, but for as much as everybody b****es about the guy he is only one of eight guys from the 2005 draft to make it to at least triple A.
witesoxfan
QUOTE(WhiteSoxfan1986 @ Aug 20, 2006 -> 01:21 AM) He's no blue chipper, but for as much as everybody b****es about the guy he is only one of eight guys from the 2005 draft to make it to at least triple A. Ryan Zimmerman never made it to AAA. Not really arguing, just thought I'd point it out. Edited August 20, 2006 by witesoxfan
Rex Hudler
QUOTE(southsider2k5 @ Aug 19, 2006 -> 09:58 PM) Is this to cover an injury or a true promotion? He's replacing Heath Phillips who is going to play in the US Olypic Qualifying Tournament starting Friday.

whitesoxfan101
10/6/2 ratio, with the 10 being grounders and 2 being flyballs, as well as a k per inning? Damn, sounds pretty good for a non stud soft tosser. Keep it up Lance!!

GoodAsGould
I dont expect him to be a stud but he is a better prospect than most people seem to admit.

danman31
Ok, I'm a Broadway fan but one start at AAA means very little. It's nice start, but success at AAA was expected eventually.
Felix
QUOTE(danman31 @ Aug 24, 2006 -> 07:00 PM) Ok, I'm a Broadway fan but one start at AAA means very little. It's nice start, but success at AAA was expected eventually. You are right in a way, but considering the fact that he was drafted last year, he's pretty far ahead compared to most people in his draft class, and I dont know how you can say "expected eventually", making it sound as if he's far behind in his development. It's still a good confidence booster for the kid making his first start in AAA.

That's true, but I didn't mean he was far behind in his development. He is one of those guys (like McCulloch) that is expected to tear through the minors. I'm not going to get gitty over him until he does well in the Majors.
