What part of

Wrong again- Val's 3-year OPS while with the Sox is 820, whic is "very good" for a shortstop. His RBI/ab ratio is also very good for a 2-spot hitter and so were his RISP numbers up until this season

don't you understand Roman?

What part of Valentin has more runs scored than your precious Frank Thomas don't you get? He must be dong something right OB to be able to do that without a good OBP?

What part of he is 5th in all of BASEBALL in DP turned per innings played at SS do you not understand? What part of his ZoneRating is 6th in ALL of baseball do you not get?

And so on.

Wow Brando, you just proved you know nothing about baseball...go home and cry to your mommy.

If you think Valentin is better than Frank Thomas, you better consider giving up baseball.

DP's turned is the most decieving stat in the game and is more telling of how the pitchers put runners on base than anything.

small salty water drop emerging from my eye as I see the dissappointment in Garland's face, poor guy we can't even get him a victory when he delivers with a gem.

Anyway everybody enjoy game 6 live from the SBC center tonight on ABC

Here is a 3 week breakdown:

Tigers- should have won 2, instead lost 2 (- 1 differential)

Toronto - 2/2 (0)

Indians - 2/3 (-2)

D-backs - 2/2 (-1)

LA - 3/1 (-1)

SF - 2/2 (-1)

SD - 3/1 (-1)

As you can clearly see, Sox lost a whopping 7 "very winnable" games in the span of only 3 weeks. How sad, this is beyond underachieving, no word for this debacle really.

When did I say he was? All said was that he makes the most of his 300 OBP and facts back this up.

I would argue that 315 OBP for Jose is equavalent to 350 for slow/stupid players like Crede, Rios, Thomas, Konerko, Alomar, Daubach, etc since they are pretty much stattion to station and get bad jumps...

Comprehension problems? Bleh.

1st of all, agree. Garland deserves an award for pitching like he did today! 2nd, nobody gives 2 s***s about the sorry ass teams playing in the Finals! How the hell can you have a 33-30 HALFTIME score. The Kings and Mavs get that with 2 minutes left in the 1st QUARTER. I just want the Spurs to get these sorry ass NBA Finals over and done with tonight!

Can we get a CF??? Aaron doesnt get a bunt down and Rios GIDP!!!

Bunting is another thankless artform that is not easily replaceable//teachable and could be the difference between winning a losing.

Guess who is our best bunter %-wise? :)

Another Dam Blunder by Rowand

Jose may be sucking this year but man i wish that all those guys with the high OPS and s*** had the heart he had

Rowand sucks. Even when he finds a way to do one lousy thing right, he still messes up. Get JB back up here!

I wont ever get that. In case you checked the stats, Frank has scored three more times than Val has. Nice try tho...

Ok, so my web site didn't update a couple of homers Frank hit in the last few days...Even so considering the 120 point difference in OBP, do you not see something wrong (or right depending on the POV) in that tiny difference?

Since you were stupid enough to start comparing a "bum" to a HOF player to prove the former's worthlessness...I guess not. You'd be better off comparing Val to Rios, DJ, Crede, Konerko, Daubach, Rowand, Konerko, etc ALL-AROUND...Sere what I mean?

........yeah until you have a guy with a mediocre arm, poor release and/or no positioning skills (your Jimenezi, Claytons, Graffaninos, Guzmans and dozens of others) who CAN'T turn those precious DPs...and then you have a TON of extra runners/outs that translate into many runs given up and losses over the long season...you do know what "runs surrendered" and "losses piled up" mean, don't you?

Nice try, lose again.

Ya know what, as long as you dont rip Frank, I dont care how you brag about Val. I think he sucks but as long as you dont rip Frank to make him look good, I dont care...

means he "sucks" in your little vocabulary, then so be it. I certainly can't/don't care enough to do anything about it. Stay ignorant forever for all I care.

Just keep me laughing is all I ask.
