CYGarland
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 05:17 PM) Great time for Contreras to go into the tank. Not to mention the offense.
Rishard101
Contreras has looked like the 04 pitcher since his injury. That injury possibly could've ruined our season b/c since then Contreras has been crap as well as the rest of our pitching. Is there a corrilation maybe, maybe not. WHarris1
QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) it's always 2 out damage. We give up 2 out RBI's like candy on Halloween but can't f***ing get them these days to save our lives.
CWSGuy406
And this game is over. This f***ing pitching staff... damn 'em. And, because I'm in a crabby mood right now, Free Ryan Sweeney! If Podsednik doesn't get a hit in his next AB, his OPS will fall below .700. That's unacceptable for a guy who isn't a defensive whiz at a non-demanding defensive position. Unacceptable. His OBP will also fall below .330 if he doesn't get on in his next AB. This is a joke.
RockRaines
How is it that Monroe is even hitting as well as he does, he can only hit one ball, inside and up. Thats the only thing he can hit.
fathom
QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Aug 22, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) I just keep telling myself..."just a few more months of pods." And you're a very optimistic, laid-back poster.
ottawa_sox
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 21, 2006 -> 08:16 PM) I honestly think it's debatable if Pods even has great speed now. He's lost two steps, in my opinion. Although I always liked Ozzie's assessment that speed doesn't slump, it certainly is ironic that the Sox managed to stumble onto the exception. RockRaines
At this point, if we lose this game, the momentum is all on their side, and they take 3 out of 4, maybe all 4.

On that note, something is wrong with Thome, there just has to be, and I PK doesn't seem to care about hitting for power anymore. That leaves Dye to do everything with no one on base. Honestly, something looks wrong with Thome and Konerko.
