WHarris1
The difference between 1 and 2 runs is really indescribably huge against en elite closer. Solo homer, unearned run, manufactured run...all doable when down by 1. Down 2? You actually have to put something together.
My Dixie Normus
That catch should end any question as to weather or not BA would have saved us those two runs earlier tonight.
fathom
QUOTE(G&T @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 02:21 AM) That's a homer if its Mack. Mackowiak would have knocked that over?
Mr. Showtime
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) It's funny, but outside of hitting homers, the Twins are so much better than us in every imaginable aspect. Indeed. So new LF, SS, Mgr, what else?
Greg Hibbard
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 09:20 PM) So how long are we going to be on this "streak"?? what streak? we have played .500 ball over our last 20 games against the toughest competition we will face all year, and we are without our f***ing DH this series. just out of curiosity, has anyone even cared to take a peek at Minnesota's september? It is absolutely brutal.

SinkingShip06
It's inexcusable for the Sox to keep playing with this mentality. These pitchers don't strike out a lot of guys, so they need to do a better job at holding the runners. we all know they've been playing like this ALL year. G&T
QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Mackowiak would have knocked that over? I imagine him running balls to the wall, arms flailing, then slapping the ball over the wall in his attempt to catch it. Is that so far off?
