Balta1701
This is the worst loss for the White Sox since the game in 2003 that Loaiza started against the Twins when he had a cold.

fathom
We're the only team I've ever seen who absolutely can't capitalize on a hanging offspeed pitch.
Brian
Singleton said Gload was playing up on that Punto liner, defending a bunt. With 2 outs? I understand it is a possibility, but it would be hard to lay down a soft bunt off Thornton.
CWSGuy406
So, how many good pitches did Tadahito have to hit in that AB? The first down, right down the middle for strike one. He hung another one and fouled it off. The pitch that Iguchi grounded into a DP on wasn't a particularly great pitch, either. So depressing. WHarris1
JD f***ing magically puts the entire team on his back in the 9th and they still can't win. Use every cliche you want, they work. Rishard101
All I have to say is way to go Ozzie, Contreras, Uribe, Macoviak, Iguchi, Thornton, and Pierzynski. This was a real team effort.,

G&T
QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 26, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) We beat Joe Nathan for the first time in 3 years, and somehow, it's still not good enough. When your bullpen and defense is bad, you lose. This is an emblematic loss. Plenty of offense, shaky defense and no clutch pitching.
