BearSox
Will Konerko hit 40 home runs? If he does, I believe he will be the first White Sox player ever to hit 40 home runs in 3 straight years. So, over/under: Will Konerko hit 40 homers?

The Critic
He'll need a hot-as-hell September to get 40. So I hope he does it, but I'm guessing "under" as well.

G&T
If he does, it means very good things will be happening for this team. Unfortunately I have to take the under.
Whitewashed in '05
He definitley won't hit 40, so under.

Phuck the Cubs
Under. He's not even at
Dick Allen
Under, but he's going to get close. He's do for a bunch soon.
cgaudin
He won't even get 35. If he tries to go long ball, the Sox are done. He just has to do whatever necessary to put the ball in play.

The Ginger Kid
I'll take the .300/30/100 he's on track for every year. So very, very glad we re-signed him.
zenryan
he will probably end up with around
WilliamTell
QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 27, 2006 -> 12:56 PM) I'll take the .300/30/100 he's on track for every year. So very, very glad we re-signed him. That's fine by me.
Balta1701
He'll probably wind up around 35 barring a real hot streak. And it's well worth the $.
jenksd
33-
Phuck the Cubs
If you gets 40, great. I just hope he doesn't start swinging for the fences every time up.
fullcollapse
i'm going to take under also, and i'm cool with that. when he is not swinging for the fences he is actually a pretty decent hitter. he will get his share of homers naturally. sayitaintso
I think that he will hit under 40, i think he will hit 35 HR's this year. Edited August 28, 2006 by sayitaintso
WCSox
Definitely under. Mid-30's. BTW, I believe that I was one of the few people who predicted that Thome wouldn't reach 50 this year.
benbacca37
Under. I'd say about 33-35.
Milkman delivers
QUOTE(WCSox @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 12:44 PM) Definitely under. Mid-30's. BTW, I believe that I was one of the few people who predicted that Thome wouldn't reach 50 this year. I guess many of us didn't forsee him hitting about 5 total homers in the second half. WCSox
QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Aug 28, 2006 -> 12:02 PM) I guess many of us didn't forsee him hitting about 5 total homers in the second half. FWIW, I predicted something like 46 or 47, so I was way off as well. There was no way he'd stay on that pace for the entire season. Even without the minor injury problems, 50 was still a lot to expect. That said, he's already surpasses my expectations, so God bless him.
