Gene Honda Civic Posted August 29, 2006 Share Posted August 29, 2006 Charlotte lost 8-4 -- Sweeney 2-4 w/ another 2B, Stewart 2-3 w/ a HR. Birmingham lost 8-0 -- Malone got rocked. No offense. WS lost 8-2 -- There's nobody even worth commenting about who played. Kanny lost both ends of a DH, 10-5 and 7-4 -- Brooks gets smoked. Woodson gets a taste of full season ball and it doesn't agree with him. I can hear those trade offers rolling in right now. -- Cunningham is still good though, 2-6 with a 2B and 2BB. Hernandez only played one game but was great, 2-2 with a 2B, HR, and a BB. Brandon Allen was 2-3 with a HR and a 2B, but I think most of us have written him off by now. IIRC, somebody at SouthSideSox (Bull Pain) has seen Sweeney CF multiple times. I think I remember him saying that he's pretty much an average defensive CFer; not Mackowiak bad, but nothing to write home about either.
