shoota
With the win and Minnesota loss, the World Champs regain the WC lead. Also pick up a .5 game on Detroit because their game with the Yankees was postponed.

Jordan4life_2007
I'm not too particularly happy about this win. I'll take it, though. This one was much, much closer than it should've been.
Greg Hibbard
I'm pretty sure if I was a twins fan I'd be going ballistic right now I've said it once and I'll say it again: Twins. Are. Done.
witesoxfan
glad to see a good pitching performance. w.t.f. atleast we got the win; atleast the offense hit the crap out of a horrible pitching staff; atleast Garland is going tomorrow

Whitewashed in '05
Ugh terrible game by Freddy, Cotts, and Riske. Sooner or later before the season ends were going to need those guys and if they don't perform weren't not going to win... Anyway they won today. Great job by Dye once again and the rest of the offense and Thornton and Jenks. Last year the sox always said, "we don't score more than we have to" this year its more like "we score one more than we have to."
SoxAce
Thornton, Jenks, and the sox hitters... yes! P.S. The Delmon Young era begins. What a stud.
shoota
QUOTE(SoxAce @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:29 PM) Thornton, Jenks, and the sox hitters... yes! P.S. The Delmon Young era begins. What a stud. Jordan4life_2007
QUOTE(shoota @ Aug 29, 2006 -> 10:28 PM) Is Liriano returning? If yes, when? It doesn't really matter at this point. One, he'll be pitching out of the bullpen if he comes back. Two, it's doubtful he'll be the same pitcher if/when they move him into the rotation. It's a real risky move bringing him back at all, IMO. There's a real chance you can do some long-term damage.

The Twins are like roaches. They ain't goin' nowhere. Again, Bonser, Garza, an injured Radke and Silva.... I know our rotation hasn't been good but those guys are not going to get it done I don't care what kind of organizational/coaching advantage you think they have

My Dixie Normus
A save awarded to a player when his teams scores 12 runs... Ungood. Anyway, great effort by the bats. Got through another Garcia start and all the right people played the field today. 31 to go.
