:cheers

Tonight's Lineup

Pods, LF; Iguchi, 2B; Dye, RF; Thome, DH; PK, 1B; AJ, C; Crede, 3B; Uribe, SS; BA, CF. Jon Garland on the mound.

I really, really like this lineup....

Moving Thome to the 4 hole is good by me AND (drumroll please) no Mack in CF!!!!

Time to kick some ass, Big Jon, keep it rolling....

ESPN says that in 101 innings, Jaret Wright has given up 46 hits and 131 walks. Is that possible?

?????

Now if only we could get Crede moved in front of AJ...

I like AJ where he is. Mixes it up a little bit more with the LRLR

This lineup looks very formidable. I hope the Sox cash in, and that Dye gives Ozzie a reason to keep him in the 3-spot. I truly hopes the offense is more dynamic and resilient. Let's give the AL something to worry about.

I think AL pitches are already worried when facing our stacked lineup.....its the Hitters we need to worry

Baldelli, CF

Upton, 3b

Crawford, LF

Norton, DH

Witt, 1B

Cantu, 2B

Young, RF

Zobrist, SS

Paul, C

Perhaps I'm missing something obvious, but why is Cantu hitting 6th and Greg Freaking Norton is in the cleanup spot?

I had forgotten all about Josh Paul. LOL.

QUOTE(stretchstretch @ Aug 30, 2006 -> 12:13 PM)
These are the games where the Sox scare me.......when on paper everything points to blowout in our favor

1) their starter is 0-6 in his last 8 starts

2) our ace is on the mound going 11-1 with a 2.97 ERA over that period

3) they're the worst road team in baseball, currently on an 11 game losing streak

4) we're getting a slugger back and Dye remains in the three hole where is AL player of the week

5) DET is down two with two at bats left and we have a chance to gain more ground on them

There's not a single category on paper that says we could possibly lose, except these are the games where our guys typically lay down........................will be interesting...........

Wow. I've been checking stats. This is a frighteningly obvious Sox win.

*ducks*

Yeah I thought that was f***ed up too. Buck Martinez pointed out the high walk totals and my jaw dropped.

How many pitches did Rocco see?

This pitching continues to amaze. I missed the homer though...how far was it?

Things happen. Remember BMac on Saturday.

But for those who can watch... how's Jon's stuff look?

Ugh.

Can't tell. It's probably not bad but he's hit a guy, given up a homer and given up an infield hit. So I hope his stuff gets better.

I see that his homer went out to center. Did it make it out by a lot?

It was left center, and by plenty.

John might not make it out of this inning.
