Feels good to get a bit of some breathing room v. the Twinkies. I have to LMAO when we come into this week down .5 and the Twinkies hosting KC and now we lead htem by 1.5

Meanwhile, Tampa Bay is an embarassment. The way they play is embarassing. Its not that they are just a bad team, its that they play sorry, pisspoor fundamental baseball. Oh well, helps us tonight.

Breathing room? This is a team that blew a 6-game lead for the WC in a matter of two weeks following the all-star break.

i want to know where gregory pratt is to defend pods.

I must admit, I defended Pods for some time, but I guess he simply isn't the same player. Hey, Pods! You can only have sex once a week. That girl is wearing you out, dog. You just got nothin' when you get to the field.

Id rather see Pablo, Mackowiak, Gload, Sweeney, or Fields in LF the rest of the season over Pods.... hell Ill even take Owens. I never want to see that bum starting again.

That was a brutal performance. You would think Pods was up against prime Pedro the way he looked tonight.

I'm ignorant to the process of how a FA is rated for draft picks, so could the reason Pods has been playing every day be to ensure the Sox receive an A draft pick and not a B when Pods signs elsewhere in the offseason?

The Elias Sports Bureau determines if they are a type A or type B or type SUX fa, which fixes compensation. The top x% of all players at a position are type A, the next y% are type B, etc. I don't remember what x and y are, but Pods would certainly have to be a top 50% lf (or of, maybe -- ?) to get any sort of compensation. Which would make everyone wonder if Elias Sports Bureau = Laugh Factory if it happened.

Scott Podsednik is not a free agent after this season, he still has i believe 2 years of Arbitration remaining. Meaning he is under Sox control so they can do 1 of 4 things this offseason:

1.) Trade his ass

2.) Sign him to a new deal avoiding arbitration

3.) Go to arbitration with the bastage

4.) Non-tender him, he becomes a free agent, the Sox get diddly.

He will likely sign his one year deal and then they will trade him off... depends how soon they want to get him. They do not want to get rid of him to the point that they non-tender him.. i believe that we will get more back for him than what is expected.

Totally agree, I also think the same goes for Garcia, some people see him as having NO value. IMO he'll end up on some NL team next year with the Sox gettting a pretty decent package of prospects back in return. (1-2)
