tony72
Jermaine Dye is quickly becoming my favorite player not only on this years team but one of the top Sox players since I have been a Sox fan... Cheers here for Jermaine Dye !!! Way to Go Jermaine !!

greg775
He's so good it's amazing. He steals second in that key situation? Wow. Good job, Mr. Dye. You are MVP.
cgaudin
That stolen base was freakin' clutch. He did everything he could to get an opportunity to score. Had that been Thome hitting 3rd, we would be in extra innings right now. Derek Jeter helped himself tonight for MVP honors, but JD would not be outdone, and he scored the winning run! MV phawkin' P! Jordan4life_2007
I don't see how he doesn't get the MVP if we make the playoffs.
nitetrain8601
Only thing that sucks is that he's just playing himself into a bigger contract once he does become a FA.
sayitaintso
JD = the SH** & MVP plain and simple

Who gives a f***ing s*** about the 2007 offseason? Seriously, should we root for guys to perform like s*** when they are in their arbitration years or are pending free agents? Alright Pods!!! Kalapse
I really don't see how Derek Jeter should even be considered for MVP. IMO it's a 3 man race; Dye, Morneau and Mauer.
WHarris1
JD is my f***ing God. Those 2 steals were HUGE.

Whitewashed in '05
Hats off to Dye for those SB's, that guy has been great all season long. Keep it up big man, we need you!
shoota
I'm thankful he's a man of his word and signed with the Sox after being offered more money by Arizona. Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if he won the NL MVP too.
Guest $I Need Money$
YEAH f*** YEAH JERMAINE DYE IS THE GREATEST f***ING PLAYER IN BASEBALL RIGHT NOW f*** YEAH MVP MOTHERf***ING b****ES!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!
CanOfCorn
He would be a top player in this league and much more well known, if he hadn't gotten hurt as much earlier in his career. Or if he stayed on the Royals. The MVP of this year...and every year, if you ask me is Herm Schneider. But Dye's damn good too.
witesoxfan
I take back everything I've ever said about Thome being our MVP. Thome's prescence didn't win this game tonight(well, it sorta did, but no). Without Dye, this is a loss, plain and simple. Dye is the MVP of this team and on the year. Yes, I changed my mind because of 1 game.
loltrain
Unless the Red Sox randomly win 30 in a row and make the playoffs Dye has to be the MVP.

loltrain
Honestly, even if the Twins make it instead I think I would still take Dye over Morneau/Mauer
