fathom
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:23 AM) Yet Joe Crede has 2 crap at bats in his final two including the final pop out. You guys that want to blame Oz for our s***tiness baffle me. I would play Pods over the guys you want playing. Again, please repeat one aspect Pods is better at than Gload and Mackowiak? southsideirish71
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:22 PM) Cmon. Ross Gload is not better than Pods. Pods ain't producing s***. Is that Oz's fault?? 2nd half stats. I am sorry, Scott is hitting .224 with a .287 OBP. Ross is hitting .333 with a .394 OBP . What does Pods do better again. Besides Marry. Dan
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:20 PM) Personally, I'm not a big fan of saying "f*** player". If you're going to say something like that, at least state why you're saying that.
fathom
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:24 AM) Fathom you really want Ross Gload as our lf the rest of the season and to not play Pods? If you do I guess we just agree to disagree. Yes, I'm 100 pct confident that Gload would contribute to this team more than Podsednik. Greg...thanks for keeping this argument mature though. Cerbaho-WG
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 10:23 PM) Name me one aspect that Pods is better at than Gload? Grounding out weakly to the left side. Flying out weakly to the left side. Striking out looking. Misplaying fly balls. Do I have to keep going? Ha. greg775
I need to go buy a beer. I am out for now. GO SOX! Get your head out of your collective ass and win the frickin wild card. It ain't that difficult.

jackie hayes
QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) I understand, but the difference was in 2005, we did not rely on the home run. Actually, we did. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) Getting Thome was supposed to add power to the lineup, but still keep the speed. No, it wasn't. It was supposed to provide more stability than Thomas and more production than Everett. And we had no speed last year. Pods + 0. QUOTE(Cuck the Fubs @ Sep 1, 2006 -> 11:19 PM) If we had this kind of pitching last year, to go w/ the offense we had last year, we'd be prolly 20 games worse than we are. So you're ranting against the offense, then saying that last year was all about pitching, saying, in conclusion, our offense sucks cuz our pitching is much worse than last year. I give ya the first big of the game thread. It's getting to that sad point where people say, damn, if only we hit fewer homers, we'd win a million... Lo f'n l. Yeah, that's the problem. fathom
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 2, 2006 -> 03:25 AM) Pods changes the game when he gets on base. That's the way I see it. Those other guys dont. By what, getting caught stealing? He only runs against crappy defensive catchers now, and there's only a few of those in the AL. He's like 4 for the season against Detroit this season. IMO, Gload has about 3 times as many infield hits as Pods does this season.

What dod you suggest Dan. .224BA, and a .287OBP. in the 2nd half. He is getting worse. He doesnt get on, he doesnt steal, he doesnt play good D, and he has a bad arm. He is what he is, and that is not good. Starting him everyday is pretty much not a good idea.

fathom
I hate Pods, and my hatred would be much less if he showed some hustle on the field. If everyone says he's the catalyst, then his lack of intensity is even more disturbing.

GoRowand33
my ideal lineup right now would be ozuna-lf iguchi-2b dye-rf konerko-1b crede-3b gload-dh pierzynski-c uribe-ss anderson-cf I have no confidence in pods to do anything good right now, I'm not convinced that Thome is healthy enough to play right now, and I take ozuna over mackowiak
