If you guessed Jermaine Dye, you guessed right! He said it was between Justin Morneu and Jermaine Dye and he went with Dye because he thinks the Sox will make the playoffs.

Some respect, finally.

who cares

I'm 100% more focused on a playoff spot than anybody's individual achievements right now

Do you play for the Sox? Because if not then I'm not really sure how it matters what you're focusing on.

I for one am really hoping Dye wins the MVP for a few reasons really 1.) He deserves it 2.) It would be a nice to to the Amazing Jeter.

well in terms of ranking what I care about, I would rank making the playoffs much much higher than having a player win the MVP

if we make the playoffs than I will be really into the MVP race

Phillips has also been all over the White Sox nuts when discussing first the division, now the wild card.

He always comes back to the same thing. We have the best pitching. You know 88MPH freddy, undisclosed injury Count, 5-and-dive Javy, left my confidence in '05 Buehrle and Garland.

I wouldn't necessarily say that Count has an injury. He could just be not as good as he appeared during the end of last year, which is basically what I think is the case.

I think just about everyone here would rather have them make the playoffs before seeing JD win the MVP but one thing doesnt have anything to do with other right now. Its just a thread letting some of us who didnt see that some "experts" picked him, not a thread saying they made their decision and they would rather JD win the award.

I was watching Dye on Jim Rome is Burning on either Thursday or Friday, and Dye said he doesn't care as long as they make the playoffs.

Um, duhhhh. Only a dumbass would say he wants the MVP but doesn't care about the playoffs.

You're not gonna try and tell me JD doesn't want to win the MVP, are you?
