southsideirish71
What do our hitters do before a game to prepare. Do they invision the ball only over the middle of the plate. Do they prepare their upper cut swings. I mean its like they have never seen a low and away pitch, yet lately this is all they see.

fathom
QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 12:06 AM) This offense is a joke right now. Yep....I'd rather see Gload, Mackowiak, and Sweeney in this lineup right now. Our starters look gassed and just not interested. As my brother just said, the Sox aren't a playoff team. Gene Honda Civic
Tavarez has pitched the equivalent of a 4-hit shoutout against us this season.

I'm eagerly looking forward to having a new LF and SS next season, and getting Iguchi the hell out of the 2nd spot. QUOTE(Gene Honda Civic @ Sep 5, 2006 -> 12:07 AM) Tavarez has pitched the equivalent of a 4-hit shoutout against us this season. No shock...he's a sinker ball pitcher with a good slider. Thus, we can't hit homers, and we try to pull the slider right to AGon.
maggsmaggs
Garland is not gonna shutout the Red Sox tonight, so our s***ty offense better get the f*** scoring. Sorry, pardon my french.
SoxFan562004
if you want to be sick, watch a Marlins game. if the Sox had 1/2 that fire they would be walking away with the WC
Texsox
To have any chance in the post season, this team needs to fall a game or two behind Minny and then battle back. They absolutely have to lose 2 or 3 games in this series. As a matter of fact a four or five game losing streak would be perfect about now. I'm only half joking

southsideirish71
2 hits through 4 innings versus a pitcher that can be described as bad. Thank God we have our hitting shoes on today. What does our coaching staff do for a living outside of park their asses in the dugout, wear a nice uniform, and smile a bit.

SoxFan562004
Hawk should be set on fire for saying the Sox organization has a good approach to hitting. The numbers may be there, but the approach the last month has been an f'n joke Maybe when we bring these pull monkeys in they should tell them "hey, try going the other way"
Frankensteiner
Bottom 4TH B:3 S:2 O:1 Manny Ramirez lines out, pitcher Jon Garland to first baseman Paul Konerko. Gameday does not make sense on that last out.

G&T
QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 4, 2006 -> 08:12 PM) Bottom 4TH B:3 S:2 O:1 Manny Ramirez lines out, pitcher Jon Garland to first baseman Paul Konerko. Gameday does not make sense on that last out. It was a liner that hit Garland in the glove and bounced off. He flipped it to PK for the out. SoxFan562004
when Hawk says things like "hitting coaches today have a lot of input on the lineup" it makes me think he's basically saying Walker has a huge hand in running this trash lineup out there. southsideirish71
Julian Taverez is not ontop of his game. Our morons can make any crappy pitcher look like Cy Young.
