fathom
Is it possible for a team to be failing at every category? Garland had a great start, but on a whole, our offense, pitching, defense, managing, and base running just suck right now.

StrangeSox
Well, at least the defense didn't come back to bite them in the ass, so Ozzie can still feel confident about his lineup moves. White Sox won't make the playoffs, and nor do they deserve to. They'd just embarass themselves. WHarris1
f***ing unbelievable. No more magic number for now. Have to remember to miss as many games as I can these days, just makes me f***ing sick. Edited September 5, 2006 by WHarris1

beautox
that was awesome. why not bring in Logan, the next reliever who has closing expereince instead of an extreme fly ball pitcher, who hasn't been remotely good at all this season in close and late. redandwhite
I know this is going to cause an outrage, that isn't my intention. Was that the first pitch and did it just curl around the foul pole or was it hit out convincingly?
kwolf68
This season is done in my view... Liriano is due to pitch a minor league rehab start later this week...when he joins the Twins they will take control of the WC race. We have to be honest, the team isn't good enough this year. We are still 05 Champions.
Flash Tizzle
This is becoming embarrassing. How the f*** can't you look at the scoreboard, realize a win is needed with two rivals already winners earlier in the evening, and lose to a weakened Boston team. WITH SOME POTFACE BULLPEN ARM DOMINATING OUR OFFENSE FOR SEVEN INNINGS?! Pathetic. The choke avatar is becoming very close ro finding itself used agian. The man nobody criticizes gives up the game-winning bomb. We stink. Our bats are dead. We are snakebit. We remain a team in trouble. On to Game Two tomorrow. You have a one run lead, a man on first, and a tough lefty facing a struggling hitter with plenty of options on the bench. Instead, Ozzie leaves AJP to hit into a DP. When you have Manny leading off the inning, that lack of proactivity is pathetic. In a game between two terrible managers, it ended up being that the team with the final AB won. McCarthy deserves some criticism...he's been real bad this year in close games. It's just such a waste of a season for him, and he's not a reliever with his stuff.
