Rishard101
They all shut down our lineup, not to mention good pitchers like Santana doing it as well. The point is this team has been awful against starting pitchers, most of our runs over the last couple of months have come late in games against teams' bullpen. So is it just bad hitting strategy coming into the game and not adjusting to pitchers, or is it something else?
StrangeSox
The hitting strategy of "pull everything and send it over the wall" usually ends up not working.

atrain081
horrible approach, what else can it be? Is it really possible for nine players simultaneously hit slumps?
GoRowand33
it's lack of intensity, and lack of a hitting strategy my ideal lineup right now 1. pablo 2. gooch 3. dye 4. crede 5. gload 6. anderson 7. cintron 8. sweeney 9. alomar I guarentee that lineup would not have been shut out tonight
fathom
QUOTE(atrain081 @ Sep 6, 2006 -> 01:27 AM) horrible approach, what else can it be? Is it really possible for nine players simultaneously hit slumps? Yes, it happens every year around this time for the Sox (including 2005). G&T
If someone told me that the Sox would only give up 4 runs in 2 games against the Red Sox and those starters, I'd have said that's 2 wins. It's damn near impossible to do what they just did. I can't imagine another team in baseball losing these two game...er, at least in the AL.
