WHarris1
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 12, 2006 -> 11:10 PM) Tillman had a huge game, though it's unlikely that he'll actually recieve any props from the local media/Bears fans for his outstanding performance today. Definitely played a monster game. Got beat a few times early on little curls by Plex but gave up no big plays and even made a couple of his own. We needed him to step up and he did. DBAHO
LOL, seeing this thread a couple of hours ago about the negatives on Grossman and Hester, and hey they sure turned it around didn't they.

shipps
The Bears returning a field goal for 100+ yards will never happen again.Every team must know by now after doing it two years in a row that they have to cover us on it.I still cant believe the Giants fell for it.Lets face it if they are not walking off the field hes probably not returning it anywhere. DBAHO
So Tony Romo >>> Rex Grossman. Should be a HELL of a game b/w the Cowboys and the Colts at Texas Stadium next week as well. So long as we don't make stupid mistakes turning the football over, I think we're in with a real chance here.

Chisoxfn
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Nov 12, 2006 -> 09:10 PM) Tillman had a huge game, though it's unlikely that he'll actually recieve any props from the local media/Bears fans for his outstanding performance today. He thrives in games when he goes against a physical WR. We just need to have coaches smart enough to make sure they put Vasher on the quicker guys or if Tillman is on a speed guy make sure you give him safety help. GoodAsGould
In the first half Tillman was bugging me because he got beat on those curls a lot and fumbled that one ball. But he did get an interception so I was overall happy with him. Than the 2nd half he adjusted to the routes Burress was running and did an amazing job. whitesoxfan101
Tillman has been the Bears best corner this year, by a mile. Vasher is a playmaker, but he can't tackle for his life. However Vasher had the 9 picks or w/e last year and the infamous field goal play, so everybody will give him all the love.
GoodAsGould
QUOTE(whitesoxfan101 @ Nov 14, 2006 -> 05:08 AM) Tillman has been the Bears best corner this year, by a mile. Vasher is a playmaker, but he can't tackle for his life. However Vasher had the 9 picks or w/e last year and the infamous field goal play, so everybody will give him all the love. Well this year ive been pretty happy with Tillman's production. That being said not only did Vasher have the 9 picks... after that Bengals game he never was beat last season and yes that missed FG play. This year we are giving Tillman 1 on 1 coverage with the opposing team's number 1 WR every game it seems. So of course the other teams have been attacking him more, which the casual fans see as him doing poorly. But as long as we are smart enuf to double coverage Steve Smith if we face Carolina in the playoffs... and if we do put Tillman on a speed reciever understand he is going to need help coverage, im fine with it. SoxFan1
When you think about it, teams never throw at Vasher. The only reason he has/makes/misses a lot of tackles is because they usually only throw to his WR on screens or short passes. Vasher has improved as a 1 on 1 corner and with his ball-hawk skills, he'll be one of the best corner's in the game for a while. As far as Tillman, hes best against bigger, more physical receivers. People hate him because Steve Smith burned him big time. That's not his fault, everyone know's Vasher should be covering the speedy/deep threat WR and that Peanut should cover the physical/possession WR. Gene Honda Civic
Let's see if these officials learned anything from the mistakes their counterparts made last weekend in the same building. Good job! You learned the rules adequately enough to not make fools of yourself. Aikmen, you took 100 concussions back in your day. Your opinion is about as reliable as a meth addict's. Flash Tizzle
I don't know why Grossman threw even one pass the last series. Our running game appears to be opening holes through the Jets offensive line. Second half, continue with this until New York shows an adjustment. Gene Honda Civic
I liked how they used the run in the first half. But if you're going to draw extra guys up to the line of scrimmage thanks to an effective running game, you've got to attack them down the field with a vertical passing game. All these damn swing passes are doing s***. Keep the running game. Quit letting Shoop call the passing plays.
Gene Honda Civic
I love seeing more running, but why have we completely abandoned the pass?
