Friend of Nordhagen
Hey kid, are you left-handed? Well, get in there. You, too, can shut down the Chicago White Sox.
StrangeSox
QUOTE(hi8is @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:53 PM) all this jump off bridge talk is rediculious expecially after the past 2 wins we had.... stfu we lose, s***, that sucks... we just come back tomorrow. Yeah, wooo, 2 wins. That's the most they can string together. This team has played below .500 since the ASB. They're not very good right now. Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(tony72 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) I know..I am tired of hearing how great our farm system is..but whenever someone comes up..they just can't handle pressure situations... I don't believe anyone with a functioning brain would say our farm system is great. It's pathetic, and no one can deny it. Lack of bluechip prospects -- for what seems 10+ years now -- will do that. And guess what? It's not going to get any better anytime soon. Williams needs a few Liriano trades to replenish this system. Even small deals, such as Indians receiving Choo for Brossard, would help. These are EXACTLY the type of deals we never seem to make, but those within our division make with regularity. cgaudin
QUOTE(kapkomet @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:53 PM) Hmmmmmmm////// Could be because he's set to fail out of the pen? Just maybe. And beleive me, I'm not a kool-aid drinker here, I'm just saying. How the hell is he set up to fail? Explain that to me, smart guy. What he needs at least a 5 run lead? Is he supposed to pitch when we're so far ahead or behind that he can't foul it up more? Please, explain. Ozzie is clearly searching for someone to step up. No one has. That ain't his fault. Or is it? These idiotic comments just baffle me. McCarthy has lost 2 ballgames and put 2 more out of reach in the last five. Oh, and let me remind you what he did in the other one, which was last night. He singlehandedly let the Indians right back in the ballgame, even though the Sox won that one. McCarthy, along with many of our pitchers, just don't have it. As much as I hate to say it, but if Cooper took the credit for last year, he is certainly more to blame than Ozzie for the pisspoor pitching we've had all year. Great job, Coop! Keep it up. greg775
I didn't watch or hear about the game yet, but the outcome was predictable. No way we were going to beat Sabathia. Also we can't win a series from anybody in our own division, even at home. That would be too much to ask. Sorry ass effort and now it really gets tough ... again.
