Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:43 PM) Ok Thome...prove this statement wrong: you're the last person I want up against C.C. in this situation. Walking would not be a bad thing for Thome.

BearSox
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:45 PM) Thome is absolutely worthless against LHP for quite a while now. The only lefty he can hit is Johan, and that makes no sense to me.
fathom
They'd be nuts to throw Thome a fastball here. He has no chance on the slider.

BearSox
Why does Thome bat 4th vs. lefties? Konerko is so much better vs. lefties. It is stupid how Ozzie won't change the middle of the order once again.
southsideirish71
One thing I have never understood is how stupid some lefties look when they face a lefty. Righties face righties and dont look stupid when they throw them a curve. But lefties can look like 12 year olds seeing a curve for the first time. f***ing bailing and stepping out. How stupid. G&T
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 03:49 PM) One thing I have never understood is how stupid some lefties look when they face a lefty. Righties face righties and dont look stupid when they throw them a curve. But lefties can look like 12 year olds seeing a curve for the first time. f***ing bailing and stepping out. How stupid. Righties face righties every day from little league to the bigs. Lefties don't face lefties that often probably until they turn pro. I agree with you, and this is the only explanation I can make up. Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(Flash Tizzle @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 02:49 PM) Nice clutch hitting, Thome. Thome has been virtually unclutch since the all star break. Just another after the all star break trend.

fathom
QUOTE(Greg The Bull Luzinski @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 07:51 PM) Thome has been virtually unclutch since the all star break. Just another after the all star break trend. He's fit in perfectly with the corpseball era. It's kinda ironic how great Thomas is doing now with the A's.
