Dick Allen
Konerko said Thome was a big reason he re-signed with the White Sox. Those clamouring for Frank Thomas, ignore the Thome/Thomas numbers and try to imagine the Sox without Konerko. Of course they probably would have brought another guy in, but most likely a big downgrade.

Let's hope he gets a little more command next inning, as it's their best chance to put up a big rally with Chone then the top of the order. jphat007
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 09:16 PM) It's too bad, the Bears magic number was ready to dwindle down even more. Yah. I don't think you'll have too much to worry about in that division though. Minny wasn't all that good, Skins just sucked ass on D bigtime. It was awful to watch. Gregory Pratt
I'm glad to see that Contreras' back isn't hurting him anymore. (I'm of the opinion that his back was aching, but I don't buy the Buehrle-is-hurt! theory.)

southsideirish71
Pods just ignites the offense. He gets on, gets over, and gets in. Pitchers fear him when he gets on as he distrupts the pitcher. Then again, that was pre2005 asb Pods and not the shadow prancer that is inhabiting LF this year. southsideirish71
Our guys start pulling the ball again, and we go 1-2-3. Nice job guys. Walk must be back in the dugout again. jphat007
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 11, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) Yeah, the bandwagon here in Chicago couldn't be more crowded than it is for the Bears. Yep...throw 94 mph and have a world-class forkball. Losing in football sucks way worse than losing in baseball. Especailly when it is against a team that you should beat at home. Baseball you always have a chance to turn things around. If you lose the wrong one in football it could just kill you at the end of the year. And considering this is a White sox board. Cmon Jose. Big inning hear with FIggins starting it off. He has some big hits off of him. Edited September 12, 2006 by jphat007
