Anyone else on a team or following HS Soccer at all?

We shutout Morgan Park for my first Shutout of hte year (I haven't played before) (I am the goalkeeper) and then I was suspended for one game Monday because I tested positive for steroids. No, MLB isn't in charge of steroid punishments, I was just making this up.

Really, I was suspended for a trivial matter that I regret. Essentially, I got into an argument with the coach over something. In the game they played without me, they lost 6-0, but won via forfeit because the other team played ineligibles.

We've got three games this week. Brooks, Little Village and some other dudes. We're fixing to win.

Speaking of Brooks,

Monday's win is for you, Slavko!

My Cyclones will tear your Eagles up!

My only regret is that you're too AFRAID OF ME to face me and my team!!

You set what you want from me if I lose.

Here's what I want from you: a free graphic to be called in at any time I want and to be delivered within three days of whenever I ask for it, as long as my request is within reason.

And if we win, I make you an avatar/sig combo saying "Slavko > Me" that you must wear in you entire tenure at SoxTalk.

No deal.

I'll tell you what, though, I will wear that Avatar/Sig combo for two weeks, provided we scratch my last demand and agree that this same bet you proposed is mine for you as well -- that is, YOU make an avatar/sig combo that I mandate in design and such and that you have to make, and you wear it for two weeks -- when I win.

Deal?

Ok, winner designs the loser a sig. Loser wears it for 2 weeks. I'm down.

My only stipulation: I win, I make it. You win, you make it.

Fine, but here's my next stipulation in response, Boras: you make it, you have to make it up to your standards, meaning it can't be half-assed. We've all seen your work, after all.

If I make it, it'll be in Paint, and it won't be pretty. You have to make yours, on the other hand, up to your standards.

And if I win, mine (that you'll wear) is going to read, of course, "Greg Pratt > SlavOnKnobsYo!"

You can call me by a clever pun, too, in yours, if you win.

For the first fifty minutes of today's game, I was the worst goalkeeper in the world. After ninety, I'd driven our team to victory, even if it was an ugly win.

The game started with an injury and then continued with a screwed up play. About two minutes into the game, I twisted my ankle and it hurt, so I couldn't quite field properly. Next, we had a major proble. My main defender had a ball deflect off his foot, and I went to get it, but I didn't pick it up with my hands, as there's a rule in soccer that the keeper can't grab the ball with his hands if it's passed to him. I didn't want to risk giving up a penalty kick, so I kicked the ball away. It went to one of my defenders, who was immediately stripped, and they took a quick shot which went in since I was out of position. 1-0. A couple of minutes later, I punted a ball beautifully and it ended up about ten yards from the Keeper. We scored, and tied it up. After that, however, things got bad. On a breakaway through the center, my defender was following, and stopped the other guy. But when he stopped him, he stopped himself, too, and stood there staring at the ball, giving the other guy a point blank shot that I just missed on a dive to my right.

Later on, nearing the end of the first half, some kid took a shot from the rightside of the field, and I miscalculated it, diving futiley to "stop it" and missing. When we got back on the field after halftime I did something I'd been critical of my backup keeper for not doing. I talked to all the players and motivated them, which my backup never did (because he's just a Sophomore, probably, and feels intimidated by the elders). We started it off poorly, however, as someone took a shot at me from the right side, I blocked it with my left, but it was rolling back real slowly. My defender came into it to try and stop it with a kick but he missed the kick and it went in for a goal. After this, I started to pound the message across to my team and pump them up: "Win or die trying; the game's not over!" and "Just when you think it's all over, it's not over!"

It wasn't. We scored seven goals and won 8-4. I made six diving stops, and had deflected a couple against the goalposts, too. A scary moment came, however, after they took a Corner Kick and I dove backward to catch it, which I did. But upon landing, I hit my back on a rock and couldn't breath. Regardless, I got up and deflected a shot to the left, and it just missed the goal. A minute later, however, one of their players ran into my back at full speed (accidentally) and it hurt, but I was all right, and didn't fall over.

All in all, a good game, but I wish I hadn't started it so poorly. In the end, it's the Win that matters, and we shut them down.

Take that, Brooks.

You can pick up a deflection as long as it isn't an obvious and deliberate pass.

Also, I think it's an indirect free kick if you pick it up, not a penalty.

I know that now!

Our Coach apologized to me as soon as I stepped off the field for that. Said he should've told me that before the game, which I agree with, but I don't blame him or anything.

You're a f***ing liar.

LMAO, we started losing after the coach took out our main striker (you know, the one who scored a hat trick on you) and then after you scored the 1st goal, our midfield quit.

They got cocky at half time, and the final score was 7-4, even though we were winning 4-0 at halftime.

Anyways, I talked to the coach today and I heard you were looking for me. I couldn't make it because my ride came early + I didn't want to get my new shoes dirty + I didn't have a coat.

I was just pissed because I should have been between the posts for my team.

I also heard that like all of your goals were on deflections.

Your main striker was taken out with two minutes to go, down eight to four -- and yes, it was eight. They undoubtedly got cocky, but that wasn't their undoing. We rallied, plain and simple. Our goals were not all on deflections. They were beautiful crosses. You were winning 4-1 at half-time.

You can't call me a liar, Slavko, if you weren't there to witness any of it. But, whatever. At least, you don't dispute the fact that my team won. ;)

(It was a good game, though.)

I don't want to talk about it, though. Not now. Not after today.

You're released from your agreement in the bet. I really don't care about it right now, my friend, because I had a miserable day. I felt, and feel, as if I'd been tortured today. I was shaking at the knees, my lips quivered compulsively, and my heart never stopped beating rapidly. They still haven't stopped these things.

I took to the soccer field after school, for practice, and everything was fine, although it was awfully rainy and muddy. I made some spectacular plays, and everyone was feeling good. I was feeling great, man. And then we entered the school, post-practice, to change and get ready to go.

Walking into the building, I slipped in a puddle of my own mud and water, and I flew backward. My knee cracked in mid-air, and it snapped again when I dropped. I howled, and rolled over, but no tears came, and no voice, either. After a moment or two, my two best friends -- my only company at the time -- came over, and watched me get up. (I told them, "I can do it -- it's important to me to stand on my own.") It became apparent that I couldn't walk on my own, however, and David became my crutch.

The short story is this: David's mom gave me a ride home and to the hospital with my mom. When we got there, I took X-Rays. My knee is not broken or dislocated, but they all suspect that I tore my tendons, ripped my knee cartilage and ripped muscles. Given that my knee has been dislodged at the front, that I've experienced the crippling rip of tendons before, and that my knee is swollen to three times its size, I'm sure there's something seriously wrong. I have an appointment with the Specialists tomorrow, but right now, I can't bend my left leg, it aches, I'm in a brace, crutches, and I'm in pain. Seriously, crippling pain. My soccer season is probably over, and I'm not all right, physically. (Mentally I'm not particularly shaken.)

"Hug me till you drug me, honey;

Kiss me till I'm in a coma;

Hug me, honey, snuggly bunny;

Love's as good as worst spammer ever."

This is awful.

My team lost 6-4 without me. Apparently, they won, though, because the other team played ineligibles and will be disqualified. That's what I'm told by the Coach, although I think it's getting out of hand. Both times I haven't played -- due to my suspension and due to the Rape of my Knee -- they've won by disqualification.
