kwolf68
I think Bobby Jenks is the most over-rated closer in baseball...his ERA is almost at 4...Doesnt HE get some of the blame for that loss?

Overrated huh? Yeah, most saves for a second year player, def overrated.
ptatc
QUOTE(Kalapse @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Pods' basehit was through the left side between the 3B and SS. That's right. Even more players hitting the oppostie way. Although not consistently enough. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 02:20 PM) Popups don't necessarily tell you where a person was trying to hit the ball. If you're trying to pull a ball and you hit a pitcher's pitch into the air, it may well wind up going anywhere. Especially if the pitcher either gets in on your wrists or off the plate away. True but by the way they where leaning, especially Konerko, I got the sense that they were trying to shoot it the other way.

Impossible. If the rh hitters go to rf and the lefties to lf, the team can never lose. That's a baseball fact.

Actually when a player attempts to pull a pitch on the outer half one of 3 things happen. Either a dribbler to the pull side due to getting the bat head out there. The 2nd is the lazy popup to the right side due to being extended with the bat and just nicking it at the very end. And the 3rd is a K. When a person hits the ball to the right side and is set on it, they usually center the ball up more and drive it to right center. You may see some dribblers to the right side if they dont stay back enough.
