Baines3
Great pitching Freddy! Let's hope that the big hurt doesn't come back to haunt us.
greg775
Do you think Oz will fine Iguchi or bench him or were the baserunning gaffes not laziness, just something bizarre???
TLAK
What a fine day! The White Sox win convincingly. Minnesota gets shut out. Detroit gives up the cycle (Buck then pinch hit for Matthews in the 9th!) and loses. And the Cub are down 6-0.
Kalapse
QUOTE(greg775 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 08:45 PM) Do you think Oz will fine Iguchi or bench him or were the baserunning gaffes not laziness, just something bizarre??? The first one by Iguchi was brought on by a total lack of hustle the second one on the other hand is still a mystery to us all. If Ozzie really wanted to get the point across he would have benched Iguchi immediately. You know for a manager who preaches hustle and playing the game the right way, his players sure seem to lack both.
shoota
With Minnesota playing tomorrow, and the Sox having the day off, I'm excited to see the .5 game differences disappear. I like whole numbers.

DBAHO
Great day for us with the White Sox winning, and both Detroit and Minny losing. Hopefully we can 2 out of 3 out of Oakland. Getting 4 out of 6 from this West Coast Trip would be a very good effort with the way both the A's and Angels have been playing lately. But now with 16 games remaining I dont feel is a good time to be sending messages for lack of hustle(even as bizarre as that play was. The only thing I can think is that Iguchi thought the ball was caught and he was gonna be doubled up), especially when iguchi has been hitting pretty well. I just want an explanation from Iguchi of what was going through his mind.
Drew
Damn. I thought I was going to see a rarity today at Angel Stadium. Four outs away. I'll take the W.

The only reason i believe ozzie did not take him out is superstition... and i am serious. I doubt i could have in that situation. knightni
http://www.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/scripts/medi...lstr=&murl= Click on Konerko 4 for 4. His last hit had the Iguchi gaffe on it. Im not pretending I know what the heck was going through Iguchi's mind in regards to how many outs there were, I have no freaking clue. And if this run (or lack thereof) would have been an important run in the scheme of the game(maybe the tying run or the go-ahead run) I could only hope that Ozzie would have taken Iguchi out for lack of hustle or lack of brain matter.
