I wish CBS would have some sort of a battle of the bands other than this "I need a lead singer" garbage that is going on right now. Although I understand why INXS did it, their lead singer offed himself. But Supernova is just a corporate excuse to put out a crappy record with proven musicians that will be gobbled up by MTV viewers everywhere. Kid Gleason
Let's be real though, how many here are fans of Gilby's bands PREVIOUS to his stint with GnR? Candy was one of the greatest Pop bands to ever exist, but nobody is familiar with them. Kill For Thrills was good, but more people probably remember Candy. And almost NO ONE remembers Gilby Clarke from Guns N Roses. Ask people on the street who was in Guns N Roses and you'll get a ton of Axls, a lot of Slashes, a few Duffs and NO Gilbys, Stevens, Matts or Izzys. And maybe....MAYBE....some people remember Jason from his stint in Metallica, but again, ask most people and you'll hear James and Lars and not much else. Anyway, I hope SuperNothing fades away very very soon. Losing their stolen name will help them fade away quicker, and that is a GOOD thing. I have to say, though, it would have been hilarious if it had been "Rock Star: Van Halen". Eddie is batsh!t crazy right now, and Alex is a mope, and the two of them probably would have had them search for a new bassist at the same time, since they seem to really hate Michael Anthony for whatever reason. Eddie's saying now that if Van Halen ever reappears, his kid Wolfgang will be the bassist. He also said his cancer came from a metal guitar pick, that he is cancer-free thanks to some procedure he had that's "illegal in the States so I can't talk about it", and that the porno movie he wrote some songs for is "Bravehart with *** shots". Like I said, batsh!t crazy. THAT would have been a program even the vomit-inducing Dave Navarro couldn't keep me from watching.

I got most of Eddie's loony rants from the transcript of the Stern interview. Oh, yeah, Eddie also mentioned on Stern's show that Wolfie "spanks it" quite a bit. GEE, THANKS FOR MENTIONING THAT, DAD!!!!

Richard and Sal are also going to be there. I want to...are tickets on sale? Ok, I just called Riddles Comedy Club...and they will start taking reservations in 2 weeks...and if you get to the show a half hour beforehand, you will be guaranteed seats. So tickets are not sold ahead of time. Here is their website...and I saw one of Bob's shows on Howard TV, and it was a riot. I thought he would be bad, but he was great. His show is mostly interaction with the audience. Riddles Edited September 15, 2006 by tonyho7476

I've seen Bob and Nick several times in Vernon Hills and downtown. There is an after party Saturday night with the freaks. Friday I believe Scores in the plan. I'll keep you posted. DBAHO
Speaking of this, my friend's brother won a competition down here for 2 people to go see the final show in L.A and go to the backstage party they had after the show, with 7 days accomodation and all expenses paid. Needless to say I was pretty jealous.

The Critic
QUOTE(Steff @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 07:32 AM) http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20060922/ap_en_..._star_supernova They will share "Supernova". I think calling yourself "Rockstar: Supernova" is REALLY f*ckin' lame. I understand why they're doing it (because they're not good enough to draw people without reminding them of that horrid show), but it shows zero creativity (as did their original songs, so it fits). They won't have to worry about their name for long, this is a one-and-done "group" anyway. Jason is still in Voivod and tours with Ozzy sometimes, Tommy has tattoos to get and whores to do, and Gilby and Lukas have very nice homes in Oblivion to return to.
