shawnhillegas
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 10:15 PM) How about Thornton or Mac, they're kinda good. well one guys hurt, and yes thornton would be a good option, but you know, we can only use him so often. Kalapse
QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:08 PM) Please remember Frank was NO WHERE in the first half. If you took Thome out and replaced him with Frank in the first half, forget about it. Even with Frank's current hot bat, it will not be enough for us to catch up. Actually . . . 4/3/06 - 5/21/06: .178/.300/.373/.673, 7 HR, 20 RBI 5/22/06 - 7/10/06: .312/.445/.708/1.154, 12 HR, 26 RBI 5/22 = Jon Garland launch fest. 7/10 = All-Star Break. fathom
Maybe it's me, but I hope the Sox are cautious with MacDougal. With someone with such an injury history, I don't trust him coming back from shoulder soreness that quickly.
S720
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:13 PM) Just when you thought you had seen everything in the playbook of the magic 8 ball. Then you see this. 3-2 in the 8th inning and we dont have anyone to pitch to Frank but a contact pitcher who has been strugglign with giving up the dong. Nice job Ozzie. You can quit anyday now. You know SSI71, I do agree with you in this case. Ozzie should never put BMAC in to face Thomas. BMAC has not been good at all!
fathom
Ha...I can't imagine how anyone could ever suggest Frank is selfish.
southsideirish71
QUOTE(S720 @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 11:18 PM) You know SSI71, I do agree with you in this case. Ozzie should never put BMAC in to face Thomas. BMAC has not been good at all! Mac made a good pitch on that one and shattered his bat. That was a bad matchup. Frank is a good breaking ball hitter, and the way to beat him now is with hard hard stuff or pounding him in. Mac hit his spot and did a good job. Kalapse
Boone and Riske up in the pen. Brandon was pissed off on the radio this morning and looks the same on the mound right now, he's just not happy at all with the way he's been pitching of late and I love it. ugh

fathom
QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 04:20 AM) The slowest developing double play tandem in baseball folks. Payton just busted his ass down the line, and beat the play. It's amazing to see how much intensity the A's have. They don't have anywhere near the talent that the Sox do, but they actually look like they care tonight.
