Greg The Bull Luzinski
Just a general observation in reference to the thread title; How are elephants athletic? I never understood the idea of an elephant being a part of the A's logo. Edited September 16, 2006 by Greg The Bull Luzinski

southsideirish71
Thome vs Zitos curveball. Lets see if the corpseball offense can give a little thrill today, or are they going to get mowed down crazy like. Zito has a 9+ era in his last couple of starts and has been terrible at home. Which means we will have a hit or 2 by the 5th inning and he will have half a dozen Ks on our team. Just f***ing hit the ball.

WHarris1
Sweet AB Jimmy. C'mon PK, give me some RBI's that are worth a s***. BTW, FOX-HD is garbage.

fathom
Good thing PK tried to pull that low changeup. Against a patient team (and this ump), does Vazquez have a chance of throwing less than 100 pitches prior to the 6th inning?

fathom
Let's hope Crede gets us going, because our 7-8-9 is pathetic today.
Balta1701
Ok, so wait, Ozzie was praising Anderson to the Fox announcing crew before the game? WTF?
fathom
Anderson continues to look like a Little Leaguer at the plate. Yuck...he didn't even give himself a chance to get a hit that AB. Good job 7-8-9. Our offense with no hits thru 2 innings....what a shocker. southsideirish71
So lets figure out how many hits are we going to have before the 5th inning. I am going with 2.
fathom
Why don't we give Cintron a chance to provide a spark to our offense?
southsideirish71
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 03:37 PM) Why don't we give Cintron a chance to provide a spark to our offense? Because Uribes .230ish BA is so much better than Andersons .230ish BA.

southsideirish71
A guy has a ton of walks in the first 2 innings and we get him out of it by impatience and poor ABs.

Balta1701
QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 01:38 PM) How people want to keep Freddy over Vaz is beyond me. It's all a matter of who gets us the best price in the offseason. If we can get top-15 talent for one of our other pitchers, the equivalent of say a Chris Young...and keep Garcia...we are better off with that talent and Garcia in the rotation than we are with less talent and Garcia gone.
