Flash Tizzle
That's definitely not good. Contreras down, appears to have issues with his hamstring. Edited September 17, 2006 by Flash Tizzle
fathom
And down goes Contreras. Looks like he pulled a muscle. That's the last we're seeing him this season.

fathom
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 08:47 PM) And down goes Contreras. Looks like he pulled a muscle. That's the last we're seeing him this season. Looks like I spoke too soon, as it's only a cramp hopefully. Haeger is warming up in the pen. He's staying in the game...good to see it's not a serious physical injury.
Flash Tizzle
You can't take a chance here. Remove him. If his hamstring tightened up, why can't it occur again an inning from now? Or grow progressively worse? What Hawk just mentioned right now is the key. Jose may compensate for his injury by altering his delivery. This is ALL on Guillen -- have to remove him immediately after this inning and not risk an injury.

Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 03:50 PM) If it's a cramp, it's logical that he could stay in the game. It may be logical since he's physically able to stand, but watching just now -- since the initial cramp -- his velocity is down. It plays on the mind of pitchers. WilliamTell
I'd like to see BMac in soon. I don't know what happened with Jose but we can't risk it.
Dick Allen
QUOTE(WilliamTell @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 03:54 PM) I'd like to see BMac in soon. I don't know what happened with Jose but we can't risk it. If it was a cramp, as it appears, this little break should be enough to where he can continue. southsideirish71
Uribe is not a streaky hitter. He is a crappy hitter. The only thing that has happened over the last few years, is that Uribes BA has plummetted down.

southsideirish71
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 03:57 PM) SSI...did you notice that the A's had a pull shift on for AJP? I would do that on him, and put the same thing on for Kong. That plus pitching low and away would really put this offense into the crapper.
