Flash Tizzle
Thomas responded to Guillen and his critics by single handedly defeating his former ballclub two straight games. How does our ballclub respond to a must-win series? Lose three straight. Any of which could have been in our favor.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
Ross Gload is still the best hitter on this team right now. BENCH HIM!
Kalapse
I do believe Frank stuck it right up Ozzie's giggy.
fathom
In a sick way, it's great to see Ozzie get embarrassed by Frank Thomas like he did. Ozzie should have just STFU, and focused on screwing this team up on a day-to-day basis. Joe Crede and Jim Thome: thanks for showing up down the stretch this season. Greg The Bull Luzinski
Where will Ozzie be in manager of the year voting? It would be great if both Chicago managers won.
RME JICO
What a sorry showing. They will be lucky to get 90 wins. Damn shame too. Go Bears!
jackie hayes
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Sep 16, 2006 -> 11:52 PM) Elim # is 12, we both have 14 left. It could happen. 9-5 us, 6-8 them. Or 10-4 & 7-7. It's not likely, but I'll hold onto that yet. I know who they're playing, yes. But the last time they played KC they lost the series 1-2. But the Sox better get on a fishing run. Nevermind... We f***ing suck. 13 left, 4 back, f'n a.

caffeinated
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 05:50 PM) In a sick way, it's great to see Ozzie get embarrassed by Frank Thomas like he did. Ozzie should have just STFU, and focused on screwing this team up on a day-to-day basis. Joe Crede and Jim Thome: thanks for showing up down the stretch this season. I think that is well said. Unlike Frank Thomas, who has been huge when it was most important, our hitters were not. I can give Crede some slack because he was big during the stretch last year. Jim Thome on the other hand is the best Spring Training hitter this club has. Forget the stats, the story is who can be CLUTCH.
RME JICO
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 06:51 PM) Nevermind... We f***ing suck. 13 left, 5 back, f'n a.
fathom
BTW, I think Crede's back has really hurt his swing. He looks so stiff and mechanical at the plate again. As soon as we're eliminated, I hope we rest him, and then he gets the minor surgery to get better.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(jackie hayes @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 05:51 PM) Nevermind... We f***ing suck. 13 left, 4 back, f'n a. Not much pressure for this club remaining. Just have to sweep Detroit. Not difficult. Oh, and of those three games Verlander and Bonderman are pitching. Aside from that bit of urgency, it would be helpful if we didn't lose one game the remainder of the year. Especially in Minnesota the last series of the year. GoRowand33
we pretty much have to run the table to get anywhere now seasons just about over, unless either the twins or tigers have a monumental collapse
greasywheels121
QUOTE(RMEJICO @ Sep 17, 2006 -> 06:55 PM) He was right when discussing the Wild Card. 4 for the WC. 5 for the Division. AKA Doneso.
witesoxfan
I will say, if the Sox want any glimmer of hope, Detroit cannot leave Chicago with more wins then they have now.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
Just a small town girl, livin' in a lonely world She took the midnight train goin' anywhere... Just a city boy, born and raised in South Detroit He took the midnight train goin' anywhere... A singer in a smoky room, the smell of wine and cheap perfume For a smile they can share the night It goes on and on and on and on... Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard Their shadows searching in the night Streetlight people, living just to find emotion Hiding, somewhere in the night Working hard to get my fill, everybody wants a thrill Payin' anything to roll the dice, just one more time Some will win, some will lose Some were born to sing the blues Oh, the movie never ends It goes on and on and on and on Don't stop believin' Hold on to the feelin' Streetlight people Don't stop believin' Hold on to the feelin' Streetlight people Don't stop believin' Hold on to the feelin' Streetlight people
jackie hayes
I don't care about the division anymore, I'm just looking at our closest competition. And this puts us 4 back in the wc, right?
greasywheels121
BBTN is so scripted, and Steve Phillips lost a bet. Because he's still saying that the Sox will get the WC over the Twins.

Kalapse
This is the most aggravating, confusing and infuriating season any Chicago sports franchise has ever had. Flash Tizzle
--.300 2 HR, 7 RBI --.000, 0 HR, 1 RBI Which two players do this series numbers belong to? Hint -- one player has a base salary of $500,000, another 14million. Another hint --One player has practically carried his team in September, another can barely carry a bat across home plate.
