fathom
Off to a promising start already. Buehrle is a shell of his former self right now. At least we get to see Gload leading off.
BearSox
wow, not pinned and no one posting in it. Lucky little hit for Dye.

fathom
Tied....thanks to Thome. It will be fun watching him aim for 500 next season.
BearSox
So, Ozzie has finally realized this lineup needed some changes. Too bad it took him 5x longer then everyone else in the world to realize that. Gload in LF leading off, good move. Uribe still in the lineup, and batting 2nd, horrible, idioitic move. We gotta hope the twins lose at least 3 before the final series, and having another one of our famous 8 game winning streaks...
Greg The Bull Luzinski
I can't believe Ozzie waited til elimination was virtually clinched before he was willing to try Gload in lead off. I hope Gload hits for the cycle and makes Ozzie look extra stupid.
BearSox
I feel pretty confident that it will be a New York-New York world series. This is going to be one of the weaker postseason's, IMO.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 12:53 PM) I feel pretty confident that it will be a New York-New York world series. This is going to be one of the weaker postseason's, IMO. I would sooner go blind than watch that.
BearSox
And our playoff hopes just got a lot smaller.

BearSox
Will these idiots announcing the game please shut up? They are so f***ing annoying, making up bulls*** excuses for the team and Ozzie. And Steve Lyons is probably as annoying as Joe Buck. Great Job Mark Buehrle. Way to try and knock us out of the playoff race.
fathom
QUOTE(BearSox @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 06:01 PM) And our playoff hopes just got a lot smaller. Our playoff hopes were gone a week ago today. This is just pathetic right now.
Dick Allen
Why is Mark Buerhle on the mound?
BearSox
The only reason why we should pick up Buehrle's option this offseason is so we can trade his worthless ass.
Greg The Bull Luzinski
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 01:33 PM) Why is Mark Buerhle on the mound? Because Ozzie is resting his poor tired starters for next year.
fathom
QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 06:33 PM) Why is Mark Buerhle on the mound? Cause we're trying to diminish his trade value even more?
CWSOX45
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 12:34 PM) Cause we're trying to diminish his trade value even more? I'm ready to just sit every one of our regulars and just let hte kids play. Chuck Haeger should get a spot start within the next week. This is just embarassing. fathom
Here come the boo birds. This team is an absolute joke. Ozzie really does know what's best for this team.
BearSox
I am glad I didn't waste money and go to game this past month. I would have paid a bunch of money just to get a hoarse throat. Should I continue to watch this pitiful display of baseball, or play some Madden?
fathom
Buehrle's ERA is now 4.99....and the great thing is that we're in a position where we have to determine how he's going to be for the next 4 years.

Ozzie really does know what's best for this team. What is the use in booing? They should have just stayed home. Empty seats speak louder than booing IMO. Whitewashed in '05
Falling out of the race is one thing. Looking worse than KC did in the first half is unacceptable. KW must be steaming these days.
PA32R
I'd say there's a real chance of the Sox finishing less than 10 games over .500. Amazing.
