fathom
This is absolutely embarrassing. If our starters aren't going to give a s***, then let guys like Haeger and Tracey get a start. If we lose every game the rest of the way by 10 runs, is there any chance that the media might actually question why Ozzie and Cooper have a job? The Critic
2-out walk turns into 3 runs. Damn. Did I mention that September has been: U G L Y ???
fathom
I think the most consistent member of the Sox organization this year has been Hawk....we're eliminated from the playoffs, and he's still complaining about how the umpires are out to get us. Flash Tizzle
Why can't Josh Fields be Ryan Garko? It seems every prospect promoted within the division contributes immediately except those on our club. fathom
Not promising that Fields can actually hit the tough lefties in our division if he platoons next season. I guess I shouldn't be shocked that one of our prospects looks overmatched in the majors.
Flash Tizzle
QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 26, 2006 -> 07:53 PM) Not promising that Fields can actually hit the tough lefties in our division if he platoons next season. I guess I shouldn't be shocked that one of our prospects looks overmatched in the majors. What's embarrassing to watch is his inability to catch up to STRAIGHT fastballs. Sabathia has exclusively thrown him 93-95 fastballs challenging him, and he's failed miserably. When you're looking for them and still can't make contact, it's rather sad. Ryan Garko sure doesn't seem to have a problem catching up to fastballs.
fathom
And why is Ozzie leaving all of our starting pitchers in for so long right now? If he wants to keep saying how fatigued they were, then just let these guys throw 80 pitches now, and then put our extended bullpen into the game. Flash Tizzle
Anderson is a perfect candidate to strikeout and give Sabathia a new career total. HERE IT COMES! EDIT: Tie career total. I'm sure he'll break it by nights end. Edited September 27, 2006 by Flash Tizzle
