RibbieRubarb
QUOTE(BobDylan @ May 9, 2007 -> 11:41 PM) Jacob is Locke. That's my feeling now. Who is Number One? You are Number Six. Also, I have a feeling next week Charlie will pull a "Alec Guiness/Bridge over the River Kwai" to save his friends.

Also, I have a feeling next week Charlie will pull a "Alec Guiness/Bridge over the River Kwai" to save his friends. I don't see how much farther Charlie's character can go or how much more the whole Desmond seeing Charlie dieing can advance the plot. He's gone by the end of the season. AssHatSoxFan
QUOTE(chimpy2121 @ May 9, 2007 -> 11:27 PM) I knew I thought I saw him. Thanks for the screen shot. Whats the name of the guy that brought Ben and his dad to the island, the guy who was in the car when Ben's mom died? Horace; he was the guy Ben closed the eyelids of after the purge

Kyyle23
QUOTE(StrangeSox @ May 10, 2007 -> 12:35 AM) I don't see how much farther Charlie's character can go or how much more the whole Desmond seeing Charlie dieing can advance the plot. He's gone by the end of the season. Desmond tells charlie he is gonna die in this upcoming episode, but that doesnt mean that he isnt going to be revived. I still think Juliette is up to something and acting as the diversion. The other side of the tape with Bens recording is really fishy. It just seems canned and faked. QUOTE(thedoctor @ May 10, 2007 -> 07:00 AM) what the hell is up with that richard dude not aging? I thought the same thing. He looks younger than Ben, but he was at least 10 years older than Ben when he met him as a teenage boy.
AssHatSoxFan
okay even if richard isn't aging, where did he and the "hostiles" come from?? what is the deal with the "gunpowder" or substanec outside Jacob's place??
retro1983hat
QUOTE(AssHatSoxFan @ May 10, 2007 -> 08:17 AM) okay even if richard isn't aging, where did he and the "hostiles" come from?? what is the deal with the "gunpowder" or substanec outside Jacob's place?? I assumed the gunpowder was placed by the French Woman. So Dharma came there to do experiments and then the Hostiles/Others killed them with Ben's help and took over. OK, so then what, they start doing experiments like bringing Juliet to the island. I am confsed. Oh wait, I think I am supposed to be confused. AssHatSoxFan
i was really expecting a lot last night and came away with less than expected but then again i probably missed the significance of some things like what the teacher was talking about and whatnot; glad to see Roger "workman" linus and marvin candle back
Harry Chappas
Is there a chance Ben's mom was still alive. A ghost/vision would not tell you to stop before hitting the fence.... The guy that picked them up outside Portland needed children.................although I suppose they would've had to bury her or something. Would be a good flashback and reason for Ben to turn on Dharma. The scientific edge of the Hostiles is somehting I am missing. They looked like nomads and all of a sudden they are this society conducting fertility tests? I think there is a bit more to that sorry. The thing is, I do not think Ben is as old as he appears. Richard did not age and that was really odd but when Ben killed his dad (nice tie in to Locke by the way) he seemed old and although his dad did to......not sure about this one. I thought the episode was really good but I do not like the Sci-fi thing and Locke getting shot is weird. If Sayid is killed I will not watch the show. Also Kate is a complete moron. Soxbadger
Well I definitely think last nights episode has put things into context. Benjamin: Benjamin, was the twelfth and youngest son of Jacob. His mother was Rachel, Jacob's wife. Benjamin was born during the journey that Jacob and his family took from Padan Aram to Canaan. His mother Rachel named him "Ben-oni," meaning "Son of my sorrow," before she died during the childbirth, but Jacob called him Benjamin. Joseph, Benjamin's brother was sold into slavery by his other brothers. That just cant be coincidence.

retro1983hat
I liked last night, but I was expecting a bit more. So basically what they are saying is the Dharma Inititive is dead along with the workers there. So what's been the point of it?

Sayid's the best character left on the show. Kate might be the worst. I've really grown tired of her and Jack this season. If either or both died, I'd be happy. My guess is Sayid and Charlie get the boot this season. Charlie offers nothing to anyone except s***ty music--also, if he goes, will Desmond see the future for other characters? I think Sayid offers a lot to the group, but the show wants some shock value. In the grand scheme of things, Sayid really has no ties to the island. So he probably serves no purpose to revealing the answers of the show. Although, neither does Kate. (Kate would be the first person I'd get rid of.) That's just my take of it. And if Ben and the Others killed off Dharma, why did Desmond and his partner make it? And why were food supplies still getting shipped in? Are the Others posing as Dharma? Is that why they keep bringing in new recruits, etc? Edited May 10, 2007 by BobDylan

I believe Desmond and his partner (interigated Sayid in Iraq and Kate's original father I believe) were not part of Dharma. I also believe that the Others were not aware of the Swan station. That situation confuses me some. Mikhail communicated with the outside world and I believe the Others purported to be Dharma and continued to get the supply drops. The scientific and advanced lifestyle of the Others as they transferred from the Hostiles confuses me as well.
3E8
What the hell was that gas that killed everyone in what seemed to be a several-mile radius? Where did the hostiles get enough gas masks to protect all of their people? And also, I wonder if Ben somehow protected or warned that little girl of the deadly gas, she seemed to be his only friend. Kyyle23
At first when Mikhail told Ben of the outsider(helicopter Pilot) and looked surprised that she was on the island, I believed he was putting on a show for Locke so that Locke would believe that he didnt know about her. But when Ben shot Locke and basically lost it when Locke wasnt telling him what Jacob said, then I started to wonder what was really going through Bens mind. The great thing about Bens character is how he is able to manipulate any given situation by presenting anything as the truth at that time. I am really looking forward to seeing his transition to the leader of the Hostiles and how he got to where he was. And one thing that is still really bugging me is how Mikhail survived the fence. Blood doesnt tend to hemmorhage out of your nose, mouth and ears for no good reason. And if you survive that, you shouldnt be able to run around an island aimlessly. Well, the woman with the collapsed lung (who fell out of the helicopter) healed in two days. The island has strange powers, however, the show has done a poor job with this. Unless the island heals only a select group, others have had injuries and they didn't recover at all.

Kyyle23
It is amazing what people can see and isolate with computers nowadays. 10 years ago this would have been a mystery with everyone saying "I saw it", "I didnt see anything", "I think I saw something", and no one would really know except the writers.
