Talk about impossible. At least I ended up having half of my team out of the lineup thanks to red cards

Aww come on fellas, it ain't that hard. Use the 'Y' pass, or lead pass, to spring your guys for a breakaway. Or go to the corner, make a hard stop, move to the middle of the penalty box and 'Bend it like Beckham' (literally for me -- Real Madrid).

Keep tryin, once you learn how to bend it real nasty, it becomes fun as hell.

My problem is that I had no idea what the heck the controls were or even how to bend it. When I got my goal I was ready to quit and retire with greatness (having lost 4-1 or something like that, lol).

They have dropped off and yet Tallon stands pat... I don't get what he is waiting for. I guess someone willing to take our junk....

What's he supposed to do? This wasn't supposed to be a 'playoff run' year, unless you constitute sneaking in at the 8th spot as a playoff run.

Now that our fate is more or less sealed, it's time to start dropping some dead weight off of the team. Smolinski has been a nice addition in his short time here, but if you can find someone who's willing to give up a fairly decent draft pick/prospect, make a deal. Ditto Lapointe, Cullimore, and Vandermeer. It's going to be tough finding a taker for Aucoin, but if someone is willing to take him for even a toothpick, you have to make the move.

That's Tallon's job the rest of this season. And if you can sign Toews to get him acclimated for the last quarter of the season, that might be nice too -- although I don't, in any way, want him rushed, and if it means that Toews would get to free agency sooner by playing a bit this year, then he should probably just play in the A or finish his college season. Also, see if you can resign Handzus. While neither Zues nor Toews figure to be #1 centers next season, both figure to be solid #2-3s.

I can't wait for the skills competition tonite.

Young stars game should also be great.

Was I right? The skills comp is just on regular versus (won't be picked up on InHD??). Either way should be fun to watch.

Now Marty (Turco) is mic'd up and he's hilarious. He talks throughout the play and stuff. Versus has done a nice job covering this game and really giving the players a name, something that the NHL has tried to do for a couple years now.

Comcast now has a Versus/Golf Channel HD channel. Before I used to hope games would be carried on the INHD channel, but now with their own channel, they are guaranteed to be on there if scheduled...and it seems that more games are in HD now, even ones that don't have an HD icon next to them on the versus online schedule.

I hate high scoring games. I know the all-stars are all about scoring, but after awhile it gets boring.

The Marty comment is that I don't think he is all that great any more (yes, at one time he was). Good/very good sure, but I wasn't surprised he gave up 6 goals either.

High scoring for the all-star game is perfectly fine. It's not a hockey game, we all know that. It's an offensive showcase, and boy was it last night. The passing is incredible.

As far as Martin Brodeur goes, he's only 1st in the NHL in GAA, and 2nd in save percentage.

If you want to compare it to his career alone, the GAA is his lowest since 97-98, and his save percentage is his highest since...well, it's his highest save percentage ever at .928

So i don't have a clue where you get that from. If he isn't great anymore, no goalie is.

VARIOUS SOURCES REPORT THE CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS HAVE TRADED FORWARD BRANDON BOCHENSKI TO THE BOSTON BRUINS FOR RIGHT WING KRIS VERSTEEG AND A CONDITIONAL PICK.

Guess Bo never really got much of a chance with the Hawks because of his lack of speed.

At least we still ended up with that 2nd rounder for Arnason.
