Wisconsin made the tourney last year based on their previous success and the fact that they did really well to start the season before the injuries/dq's took place.

I still think Illinois has a chance to make the NCAA tournament, they just need to win against teams they are supposed to beat. Also if they can do some things in the Big 10 tourney, its likely that they may be in. I cant imagine that the Big 10 will only send 3 teams to the NCAA so that leaves room for another team outside of Wisconsin, OSU, and Indiana.

I would also be interested in who people were thinking should replace Weber and why he would do better.

I would LOL if they did not make the tournament. They shouldn't lose more than two games the rest of the season(not including the BTT). And if they win tonight, that is one too many losses.

Bruce Weber on the hot seat? Dumb.

Thats like saying:

Self with his lack of success in the tournament is gonzo in 2 years.

Well unless of course he starts to win.

Self better be hoping that he can get a 2 seed because the farther down he starts to go the harder its going to be for his team to just out talent its opponent.

Weber 2 years from now with his lack of talent is gonzo.....he needs to get some talent in there.

What's killing him now is Self's own senior class.

I kid, but he has a nice class coming in next year and a verbal from one of the top freshman in the country. There is no reason to even consider firing him yet.

And the hiring of Self has screwed Illinois.

Self built up connections in Illinois and Chicago, and then left the school high and dry. He then used those connections to get guys like Collins and Wright to come to KU.

If Self never builds those connections, who knows how well Weber can recruit in Illinois.

Yup, if Weber is on the hot seat then Self certainly has to be, no? Bruce has done much more at U of I so far than Bill has done at KU. Oh ya, but Self is a great recruiter, well talent doesn't mean anything if you can't win in the tournament.

Kyle McAlarney has been suspended from the University Notre Dame, absolutely huge blow for the Irish.

If Self does not get into the final four this year, his head is on a platter. All KU fans want him gone if this occurs. Weber will be on the hot seat when they wind up in the NIT.

I'm about to head to the arena. Huge game tonight as UNI comes to town with first on the line. We win tonight and we have sole possession of first in the Valley for the first time this season, we lose and we're a game and a half back and UNI takes a full game lead in the league over Creighton. We must protect our home court and win tonight.

GO DAWGS!!!!!

These defenses aren't that good. The offense for both teams has been horrid under 10 minutes.

Escpecially Illinois. IU's defense is bored with them, and they've extended their D to and beyond the perimeter, making it easy for the Illini to drive. Yet they still are having trouble scoring.

Does the Illini crowd seem really quiet for a team that is supposed to be playing a hated rival?

I mean Ive heard more yelling on message boards about Eric Gordon than im seeing in a 5 point game....

Listen to the radio, where they don't edit the crowd sound out like ESPN does. Then you will see how loud they really are.

That's the key to scoring on the Hoosiers. Their main focus has been the perimeter, where we're holding teams to 22.6%. The holes in IU's defense are definitely inside at point blank.
